Can't wait to see how people find something negative to say about Favre based on this.

lol, for sure. We are Jets fans

I don't know why but I thought Keller was lighter than 248-pound, not bad at all. If he can broaden his blocking skills he'll be immense.
So glad we didn't take Miller a couple of seasons back now.

I'm not. Miller & Keller would have been an outstanding group of TE's. Miller is more well rounded TE than Keller.

We wouldn't have Keller if we had drafted Miller and I'm glad we have who we have. I hope Dustin can develop into a better blocker but he's a much better receiving threat than Miller and that ios definitely something we need on this team.

Maybe not, but how can you be so sure?

I agree that DK is the better receiving threat, but Miller is no slouch in that category and is a fantastic blocker. Keller will probably develop into an OK blocker but I doubt he ever becomes as good as Miller.

They would have complemented each other very, very well IMO.

Instead we got f'n Mike Nugent and Doug Jolley. Bah. Was getting Kerry Rhodes a result of that trade? If so I guess it's not so bad.

Heath Miller is so overrated by Jet fans that were disappointed we didn't take him. He's an ok receiver and a decent blocker, he's nothing special. keller is a special receiver at the TE position.

I don't think there is any way we select a TE in the 1st round in 2005 then 2008 especially since we had Chris Baker on the roster as well. Baker was a perfect compliment to Keller but we let him go.

On the last part of your post. It wasn't directly a result but w/ the extra picks we acquired moving down we used to move back up into round 5 to select Rhodes so all in all YES we got Rhodes out of the deal.

The evidence that WSW is actually Raiderjoe is mounting by the day...

I don't think there's any chance whatsoever that with Chris Baker and Zack Miller on the roster, we would have traded up for Dustin Keller.

I think they knew Baker was on the way out when they drafted Keller. They liked him better than any receiver in the draft, so they must have been pretty high on him.

i don't get how you can make the conclusion that keller is a better receiver than zach miller yet

their rookie years were almost exactly the same, and miller had a damn good 2nd year

i'd say the jury is still out on which is a better receiver

Fifteen. Fifteen posts for someone to say something bad about him.

The rest of the posts were all off-topic. Classic Jets fans. :)

I'm going to go out on the limb and say that having Favre was a hidden blessing. If we never had him he wouldn't have left us hanging and forced us into taking a QB the year we did. We may never have ended up with Sanchez. Sometimes the universe unfolds exactly as it should.
