He is basically the "Rain Man" for the Patriots. After reading that article tell me the cheating still isn't going on?
I don't know if you could classify that as cheating but it is amazing what lengths they will go to for an edge.
I see getting an edge as playing on grass when the visitor is used to turf. Or having a good running back when it's windy outside. Using a guy with a photographic memory crosses the line for me.
That scares me....remember what happened the last time the Jets made the pats bring in their backup....
Ernie Adams discussions aren't strange to TGG, actually: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=29376&highlight=ernie http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=26089&highlight=ernie http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=29411&highlight=ernie http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=32746&highlight=ernie http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=32840&highlight=ernie http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=32652&highlight=ernie
Aluminum man just can't understand a few things. 1. You are on the fringe with your Ernie theories. I bet you think 9/11 was an inside job. You display the typical conspiracy mindset. So now that both the Offense and Defense has helmet communications, why hasn't Ernie retired? What signals are there to be stolen? 2. Stealing signals is not illegal. Taping signals is illegal. If you can memorize or study them on broadcast or NFL tapes, that's perfectly legit. 3. What is it that you don't understand about the following statement: teams change their signals frequently because they are worried their signals can get compromised. Even teams that do not play the Pats change their signals frequently. Why would they do that? 4. Since the offense has had wireless communications in place, only defensive signals were taped. Hines Ward plays offense. Offensive signals were not taped, because the coach to QB system was in place. So explain to me how the Pats seemed to know what plays the Steelers "OFFENSE" was going to run? If the Pats received any benefits to the illegal taping, it would be the PATS OFFENSE that would have benefited, not the defense.
Funny story to speculate on, but it is true. I have a buddy I go to school with from Iowa. This is the third year we have been in school. When he came out he had to agree with what you are saying. He didn't like the Yankees for all those reasons. He actually rooted for the Red Sox through the playoffs after the Cubs got knocked out. Anyway, fast foward two years and he will tell you that he now hates the Pats/Redsox/Celtics simply because living amongst their fans is brutal. He called them the most obnoxious people in the country.
I live in Arizona. For some stupid reason every time the Jets play the pats there is always some loud mouth pats fans sitting behind me. They have that ne accent that makes me sick. "Hey! Jets fan how do you like them apples" "Go tommy" "Come on tommy" "The Jets are a bunch of rats" I hate their fans, their organization and their stupid team. I hate moss, brady, welker. Plain and simple I hate everything and anything that has to do with the pats. I hope the Jets open up the biggest can of ass whoopin the NFL has ever seen on Sunday. J!-E!-T!-S! JETS! JETS! JETS! ats_suck::gpc:
This is where Ernie Adams comes into play. The Steelers line up and call the play. He remembers the formation and the pass routes the Steelers are running. The Steelers then run the same formation and wham. Ernie: Hey Bill Bill: Yes, Erns Ernie: The Steelers just used this formation and Hines ran a 10 yard outside route to the sidelines and Holmes ran downfield. Bill: That's great thanks. Bill: Romeo it looks like we have Hines breaking off his route at 10 yards toward the sideline and Holmes going deep. Romeo: Bruschi, drop line backers into coverage and have the safety cover over the top on Holmes route. Get the picture now dumbass.
No wais, aluminium man! That's far too complicated for a billion dollar football franchise to do! The Spygate denials are as much a psychosis of Pats fans as the SOJs psychosis is to Jets fans, and it took root much, much faster. It's like their new religion.
You are a lunatic. I'm sure that's exactly what Bill is doing in the game when there are 1000 other things running in his head. So what does Ernie say when multiple plays run out of the same formation? What does he say when a play is disguised? I guess Tom Brady consults Ernie before he calls his protection schemes? Ernie is a non-stop talking, play describing machine yet nobody hears him doing any of this? I need to post your reply on the Pats board as an example of a nut case. Think about the workflow going on between snaps and all of the personnel involved. You have a simple mind aluminum man.
Denial is not a river in Egypt? The Pats are very good at what they were doing so all this is not far fetched. I don't know the exact ins and outs of what happens in the middle of the plays but I do know 25 seconds is enough time to figure things out and relay the information to whoever Ernie was mic-ed too. Do we also need to bring up visiting teams losing communication once they crossed the 35 yard line? Why did this bizarre occurence seem to be more frequent at Gilette? You can post whatever you want on your cheesy little cheaters message boards doesn't bother me in the least. Obviously, you are here for a reason. Are you a little worried about another team calling your team out and the Patriots not rising to the challenge? What does it say for your team and where they are headed. Do I dare say it. The Patriots could actually go 2 years without winning the AFC East. Times are changing my friend and the Jets may be the new powerhouse in the AFC East. First the Yankees and now the Jets. What are you boston beaners going to do now? At least you stil own the Bills, for now?
Good luck getting an answer. I have beat down Patriot fans for a few years now and nobody has yet to give a clear cut answer why this guy is in constant communication with Bill. He isn't the defensive coordinator, he isn't the offensive coordinator he is just Ernie Adams. But for some reason Bill needs to be in constant communication with this guy.
Oh, so you have seen him talking to Bill? With what he is being accused of, he would be talking fast and furious and would be the busiest man in the booth. It would be blatantly obvious. Is he doing something for the Pats? Probably is. I don't think we've figured it out yet though. I think Aluminum man's scenario is very unrealistic. It couldn't be pulled off with Ernie being in plain sight of so many people. It's also unrealistic from a workflow perspective.
Aluminum man, why do you think any fans would know? Do you think Bill calls us to discuss such matters? Nobody knows what he does. I'm sure he is doing something, but I don't think any of the speculation out there is realistic. Nobody knows.
