You guys do realize that the Patriots are, to everyone else in the world except you, the Yankees of the NFL, right? You hate the Patriots for the same reason that the rest of the country hates the Yankees... or at least why we used to.
Actually...everybody hates the Pats because they're a bunch of cheats.......I don't know where the Yanks fit into your weak analogy....since they're pretty legit like all the other MLB teams.
You're right. The Pats and Yankees both won championships by cultivating talent and bringing in a few key free agents, and winning mostly with defense. Then both teams started going crazy in FA, failing in farm team/draft angles to cultivate talent, tried to simply outscore opponents on their way for the ultimate prize, largely ignored defense, and consistently failed to win championships in their efforts. Thanks for putting things in perspective for us. Funny, you should feel dirty for comparing the Yankees to the Pats.
The Yankees have a history of greatness that goes back almost a century the Pats had a 4 year run that's over and a history of failure. The Closest team to the Yankees in the NFL are the Steelers.
LOL, denial much? The Yankees are the most hated team in sports. But at least as a lifelong Sox guy I can admit they don't suck... that's just pure stupidity. The reason they're hated is because of their success, which breeds animosity from the competition.
The Yankees are the most popular Baseball team in the Country. They sell more merchandise they have more demand for tickets on the road and at home for people coming to NY from out of town than any baseball team in the Country. I used to do national sales years ago and almost every customer of mine wanted a Yankee cap or if they were coming to NY they wanted to go to a Yankee game. I think the most of the real hatred for the Yankees is in Boston and Brooklyn. The Pats are one of many short term NFL dynasties, the Yankees have won over many decades with different owners, managers and teams. They aren't even comparable.

Yes, that's why the Pats lost the SB to the Giants. It wasn't because the Giants had a better game plan, executed it better, and beat them. No, not at all. It had to be because they weren't "cheating." No mention of not listing certain washed-up rental QB on the injury report though. That never happened.
