Its hilarious to see so many people who don't know WTF they are talking about. VG is actually mostly doing EXACTLY what his assignment is in this Defense. A defense that is BTW pitching a FREAKING SHUTOUT !!! The bitching from the know nothing haters is really getting ridiculous. He is not Deacon Freakin' Jones but he does have 2 Tackles and is containing and pushing the pocket.

I said NOT YOU. go back to my thread, I don't mind a disagreement, that's cool, but to curse and act an ass, I'll defend myself everytime.

Guys what are we watching here. People where worried that Slaton would gash VG, and all he has done is Put pressure, and stop Slaton.

Your right AS, he's not DEACON FREAKIN JONES. I can see that on the back of his jersey but he's making 60 Mil FREAKIN DOLLARS and is a 6th FREAKIN pick. And VG as you stated is doing just what he was scouted to do, be a FREAKIN gym rat, take plays off, look confused and play at a level LOWER than a 2nd FREAKIN rounder and an undrafted FREAKIN Free agent.

But I agree the JETS D is pitching a shut out, but if VG turns out to be a BEAST, I'll eat my words, because that's the type of man I am, I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong about something.

He's been bad 16 games, he'll be the first to tell you. But when he finally has a good game, you say it's not good enough? Did you want him to sack Schaub on every down?

He is doing his job. Notice the scoreboard? Notice Schaubs statline? Gholston has been in his face all day.

Just relax a bit on the guy for crying out loud. Its his 2d season in the NFL and at a new position then he played in college. He has 3 tackles in the game and is doing his job. WTF is all the hating on this guy ???? He is a good dude, works hard and is improving. If he was drafted too high - don't blame him. He didn't draft himself. Good Grief.

i agree that he at this point should be performing better for the money he's due but there are so many factors that have hindered him that cannot be put on his shoulders. i think that him showing progress in chunks is good enough at this point from his standpoint....i think mangina screwed this guy....i mean what coach outcasts a top 10 pick, changes his position, then deactivates him...

    i mean realy??

Gholston hasn't been beat at all; he had good pressure that contributed to a Westerman sack. What else should he be doing? This is a good performance from a guy who was nowhere to be seen last year and has no starting experience in the NFL.

I tend to agree with this assessment. But we'll see in time.

Lito!.....I blasted you (vs. Giants)......nice catch kid.

    We win. Nice "road" job.

    1-0.

Hopefully next week the "opposing team's" offensive will have problems with the Jet home crowd acting 'irresponsibly' like an impossibly LOUD LSU-Saturday-night-type-LOUD crowd...

I will be there......I will be 'horse'

(Jets: nice USC-esque short-yardage '1st-down' push late in the game to keep the clock burning....during the game: nice "feet" Mark; great 'middle-crash' Jenx; overall, nice "D")....DAY'EM!!...we were the better team!

Well done gents; congrats Jets. Congrats Rex.

Nice job. (I love reading the "local papers" after games like this).

    4:00 game.....
    "Hail to the Redskins!" (smirk)

He can't shed blockers but he can keep them occupied for Harris, Scott, and everyone else Ryan/Pettine decide to send. He's even drawing double teams on occasion. He's not playing like we want him to but he was still helping this team today.

Played well, the popular internet slag VG mob will be quiet tonight.

He ain't worth the pick but he did more than Kenyon Coleman ever did!!
