Tannenbaum is taking the high road and simply pointing out that Favre was a part of the decision process. Mangini is as well, and I am sure Mangini and MT talked before either commented. There is nothing to be gained by them returning the volley in the media.... doesn't mean Favre is painting this accurately.
Dude "Plains" are topographical features. "Planes" is a shortened nickname for airplanes aka aircraft. Depending upon the platform's propulsion system, they can have other nickname. If the aircraft has jet propulsion, the aircraft can be called a "jet". This is what your team is named after. Hope this clears the confusion. Better to see some fans understand the irony.
