Devito could make a name for himself this season,he's quick off the snap and can probably be a nice one gap tackle/end. Although I am baising this on a pre season game from three years ago.

The problem is that apparently they have tried meeting him in the middle and there is no middle when it comes to his agent. The agent demanded 6mil a year and it appears that they will take no less than 6mil a year. The Jets went from offering him 2mil to 3mil to 4.5mil and the latest report is that they offered 5mil. 6mil to the cost of the franchise tag, which is the average of the top 5 highest paid runningbacks in the league. I love Leon, but paying him as a top 5 runningback without him ever starting is kind of unreasonable.

I've completely lost my patience with you, and all you're doing is trolling me in various threads. You have nothing to input of any relevance to any conversation, so just stop responding to me. Here's the single detail that I referred to, and it's all that is relevant. I said it would have made more sense to see how he performed in a starting role before negotiating with him. The unique opportunity to do so was coming up in just a few days. That doesn't mean some big light will go off and this guy will suddenly show himself to be a superstar. It means he has the opportunity to show the staff how he can perform taking a majority of snaps in a game where everyone on the field is first-team.
I am talking about relevant info, but I guess him being with the Jets for two yrs is irrelevant and I shouldn't have brought that up. I thought maybe we got a better idea of what Devito brings to the table in those two yrs (he's played in 23 NFL games against starters incase u didn't notice), but I guess one game carries more weight....ok carry on.
