I would have to think it is true. How could he possibly expect to make an accusation like that if it wasn't. The fact that the Jets had no comment and Mangini didn't deny it last night only makes me think so even more.

I don't know if this was brought up but I was just listening to the BT show and he had a interesting point.

Mangina's job was on the line and he probably had so little faith in Clemens that he would rather a injured Favre over a completely healthy Clemens.

Glad they're both gone. I'd imagine we all are.

Again, I have no problem with the decision to keep playing Favre (it's become pretty clear, I think, that Clemens isn't any good). I have a big problem with the horrible playcalling when you know that your QB has an injured throwing arm.

This is the issue right here. Who was responsible for that? Hard to say, Shotty calls the plays but Mangini had final say and Favre had the ball in his hands.

Maybe they can get the NFL to investigate that one, because I doubt any information is forthcoming in that department.

    Good Point!!

Throwing 50 yard bombs probably wasn't the best idea. Especially since he was underthrowing every pass by about 10 yards.

They might investigate this actually, for not listing him on the injury report.

But since they never accepted the fact he was injured I have no clue how that would work.

    Per ESPN now:

Jets (Tannenbaum) admit everything. What a fucking idiot.

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum has acknowledged he made a mistake handling Brett Favre's biceps tendon injury last season, and should've listed the quarterback on the team's injury report.

Tannenbaum and the Jets could face disciplinary action from the NFL for not listing Favre's torn biceps tendon on the weekly report following the injury with four or five games remaining. Tannenbaum said Favre should've appeared on the report as "probable."

Tannenbaum called the league offices and spoke to Ray Anderson, the NFL's executive vice president of football operations, about the issue. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed the league is looking into the situation.

Oh you mean Brett? I wish they all hadn't lied to us. What a fucking sorry excuse for a season now that I look back on it. I mean this whole deal now fucking stinks to high heaven. Our hopes pinned on a 39 year old injured QB. I get pissed just thinking about it.

According to the article I posted, the Jets will (may) just be fined. No draft picks or anything to worry about. So, I couldn't care less.

Now, I pray that Mangini strong armed Schotty into throwing the ball so much.
