I never saw this posted. So if it was, twitter complaints to kerryrhodes25

I heard Kay recap a story Joe Klecko told over the air.

Long story short, Klecko is granting a wish for one of the children in the Make-A-Wish program. The kid wanted to watch a Jets practice, so Klecko, a NYJ front office official, and the kid attend a practice one day.

The three are at the practice site for less than 5 minutes and Mangini calls the official over and tells him "No one is allowed to watch practice."

The official says, "But this kid is terminally ill, we are making his wish come true..."

Mangini says, "No one is allowed to watch practice."

    They leave.

The whole time, apparently, Mangini doesn't acknowledge Klecko.

Bottom line, I'm glad to have Ryan here. He is a great interview and tells it like it is. He doesn't pull any of this non-disclosure bullshit.

I heard this story on Michael Kay earlier today. Unbelievable really. What was Mangini afraid the terminally ill kid was going to talk about what he saw at practice to Belichick?

I hope that piece of shit fails, he's an asshole to everyone. Only Mangini would not allow a sick kids wish to come true. Go Vikes! I actually wanna see Favre destroy him week 1.

This guy acts as if he's the 2nd coming of Bellichek. The arrogance that he and Mc Daniel's has for everyone just wants me to see these guys get fired a.s.a.p.

I'm sure Belicheck would have signed the kid to a 1 week contract after he left practice to pick his brain about the innovative defensive schemes of the Maginious regime.
    Mangini did the right thing.

Wow. That is a real bullsh!t move by Mangini. First off, how do you not allow the child to watch the practice and not have the players come over to meet him. Secondly and far less important than granting the wish of a sick child is how do you disrespect Joe Klecko like that.

Obviously Mangini has deeper issues about him than we knew about while he was here. Didn't he also remove murals of the Browns history from their practice facility?

I find it hard to believe, how would they have been allowed to even get on the field before Mangini had say in it? If he really didn't want them there I'm sure they would have never even entered the practice area.

Ok, for the longest time I thought, based on his press conferences and body language on the sideline, Mangini was an asshole. Nothing he ever did lead me to believe otherwise. This story, if it's true, completely justifies everything I've ever thought about this jackass.

and he didn't acknowledge a Jet legend with a dying child?

Common sense needs to prevail. What a classless human being.

I was told that both Williams boys will play this weekend against the Browns.
I hope Vikes destroy this piece of shit inside out this weekend - karma is a bitch, you know.

As a parent it absolutely kills me that Mangina would do this to a kid with a terminal illness.... if I was that kid's dad even if it would have gotten me arrested I'd have marched right in to that practic and kicked Mangina's ass....

Wow. The borderline human being in me doesn't want to believe this, but it seems verified and terrible.

Kay said Klecko told this story on the air. I can't imagine why Klecko would make it up.

Kay mentioned the disrespecting of Klecko bc Mangini tore down all the paintings and pictures of Cleveland Browns legends around the sports complex.

When I heard this story I lost it. The guy has kids too...blows my mind.

Here's my take on the story: Mangini needed to get a phone call ahead of time from Woody saying so and so is going to watch practice today and this is why. That would have precluded any drama. Last time I looked the head coach is absolutely in control of practice or he's not the head coach. The owner of course can always countermand him at his risk, but it's better to plan ahead.

All of that said, I don't believe the story. Mangini isn't stupid enough to get himself labeled that way. That's the kind of story that destroys careers once it gets out. Absolutely destroys them.

What woudl Klecko have to gain by telling it though? He is a Jet legend and he is a HOF player in alot of peoples minds...making this up would only tarnish his legacy.

    Wow if that is true...........

I was going to make some sarcastic remark. This really is beyond words.

The funny thing is that from the stories I am hearing about Mangini this is more than likely 100% true. I had heard that he disrespected Klecko and the other Jet alumni on several occasions. Where there is smoke there is fire.

However, to do this to a cancer kid is just beyond words. It doesn't take a genius to look at a kid and see he has cancer or is ill. My god you would think the coach would come over and cooler heads would prevail.

Funny, how the horror stories about many of BB's disciples come out they all have a similar ring. These stories have to be true.... see Weiss, Mangini, Saban etc. etc. etc.

Edit: I thought Manigini could be a good coach, especially after season 1. Season 2 didn't bother me so much as I thought that should have been his first season, record wise. However, after his scared, Hitler in a bunker coaching at the end of last season, I really do not think he will ever become a decent coach. I was totally wrong about that guy after season 1 and admit it..... I didn't want to be hypocritical on this.

Further Edit: At least the first thing Ryan did was embrace the past and the Jet alumni..... so maybe the it is turning for the franchise.

I mean somebody is wrong (either Mangini for being a completely inconsiderate asshole or Klecko for making this shit up) but man, that is just fuckin unreal if true...so glad he's gone
