Yes, I just found it. They seem perfectly happy paying him 20 million a year with the franchise tag. This is the second year in a row. Is there any limit on how many times that can be done? Although don't they go away when owners opt out?

I don't think so it just goes up every year so it gets to the point that the tender is so high it kills your cap space

A player can't be franchised three years in a row.

Still no sign of him in Oakland. Sooner or later he will show up and play for this year because he really has no other choice, but I gurantee he forces his way out next year. If they franchise him he will sit out until they trade him for a 3rd round pick completing yet another brilliant move by the Raiders.

Rumors Oakland may be working a new deal..I'm surprised he would want to spend years in Oakland though.

I just noticed that Seymour and Crabtree both have the same agent. This could become interesting.

This post was made Monday night.... Shocking news of the day:

Richard Seymour was a no show at Camp Disfunctional on Tuesday as well.....

I love the Raiders saying "He had issues to work out with the Patriots" and New England basically saying "huh"

the issue with the Pats is he doesn't want to leave, he's begging to stay and will resign for whatever amount they'll keep him at if he undermines the trade by not reporting and Oakland rescinds it.

Al davis needs to be removed from his role, I don't know how but that guy is freaking nuts.

Does he run the team from a inpatient facility at this point?

This was posted on the 8th.

    It's now the 10th.

Whether or not he reports at this point doesn't matter; it's ANOTHER failed prediction.

    Jeauxseph, yer so silly.

No way, man. I want Al Davis to run that show until they realize he's dead and bury him against his will. Watching that team implode every year makes me think there is actual justice in this world.

The way this plays out will serve as a good barometer for the NFL's desire to keep the Patsterisks at the top of the NFL pile. Will Goodell force the Pats* to return the pick if Seymour never shows?

If he did that, it would set a precedent for players to refuse to report to the teams that they are traded to if they don't like their new team. He won't force the Pats to do anything - Seymour belongs to the Raiders.
