Seriously though, at this early stage which QB do you expect will be the Raiders future Peyton Manning with the first pick of the draft? Is it still Bradford or maybe Snead with his cannon of an arm? I'm calling Snead and his arm will be the Raiders pick at number one of the 2010 draft. Raiders continue to solidify their run defense by moving JaMarcus to DT.

You get a good deal of latitude around here. I've asked in the past that you keep all Raiders posting in one thread all for you. You didn't like that idea, I guess. Just consider this polite advanced warning - littering the board with your every Raider thought without adding anything of content will end what has been a pretty long run here for Raiderjeaux.

 

The Pats probably wanted the 2011 pick because with a new CBA there will probably be salary slotting like the NBA has, meaning the cost won't be nearly as prohibitive as it is now.

Also, with a slim LB group and Mayo a potential MLB stud, the Pats look like they will be running a 4-3 alot this year, which means pass rushing 3rd down ends (Burgess).

Seymour is a great player no doubt, but knowing they couldn't (or wouldn't) pay him $9mil next year, getting a #1 seems like a good move.

Yeah, the first thing I thought of after I heard about the Seymour thing was a 4-3 conversion. Their 3-4 base was the thing that confused me about the Burgess trade.

As far as salary slots, I'd be pretty happy to hear that happening. Although I'd have to root for the Raiders to have a good record next season. LOL.

 

Listen people like to dish it out, they shoulds be able to take it. Listen you have to do what you have to do. Again when the raiders embarrass the Jets this year, Im not going to be so nice. Yea like Kellen Clemens was your QB of your future. Jaworski was raving what a great Qb he was going to be. How did that turn out. Now mark Sanchez - only started one season in college, you look at the track record and its not good of players making a sucesful transwition to the NFl.

For all you know Jets are picki8ng QB with the first p[ick in the draft. They have the making of being one of the worse footbasll teams next year.
