Also, I thought the Raiders played a 4-3?

They do.... which makes the talk of them all of a sudden making a run at the Chargers is even more assanine. Those guys are a trip.... we may be the most impatient fan base but there is no doubt they are the most uneducated. It's like a retart convention on that message board and it's funny how many of them trash somebody that doesn't think Al Davis is a genuis.

Your just be silly/uneducated. You really think AL Davis would trade a number 1 pick in 2011 , if he had an intention of losing Richard Seymour. They will tag Richard Seymour o9r do whatever it takes to make sure Seymour playing for the Raiders.

I'm speaking for football fans in every city and town around the country. Even the Canadian cities in the CFL. . . .

The answer is yes. The Raiders ARE that dumb. They prove it over and over and over and over again. That team should be shut down and given to a decent fanbase who will show up to games, and management team who will make sensible business decisions.

    Stop screwing up the league!

Again Raiders biggest achilles heal on defense was their inability to stop the run. With Richard Seymour they will stop the run. LDE Greg Ellis LDT Gerard warren RDT Tom Kelly RDE Richard Seymour. HecK I would start LDE Desmond Bryant 6'5 290/ Matt Shaughnessy 6'5 270 LDT Gerard warren 6'4 330 RDT tom Kelly 6'6 305 RDE Richard Seymour 6'6 310

With that massive defensiveline Raiders lightning quick Lbs are going to be so much better against the run.

We knew jets couldn't pass on the Raiders. NOw lets see the Jets be able to run on the Raiders.

Don't be bitter, someday your FO will do whatever it takes to make you a very good football team. Richard Seymour to the Raiders, just might make this a top five defense. It's more likely the Raiders will be a top five defense next season, than the Jets will.

This Raider team shaping up to team everyone better watch out for. As soon as they get all there players back( RT Khalif Barnes, Wr Chaz Schilens, Javon walker-gets , N Asomugha, M mitchell) this team going to be scary good.

Raiders can be the biggest supprise in the NFL next year. There offense is going to be real good this year.(have to get there players back healthy) they are going to score points and alot of them this year.

With Richard Seymour this defense can be top five easily. They have the horses now to stop the opposition running game. On the run downs- Lets say lDe Desmond Bryant 6'5 290 LDT Gerard warren 6'4 330 RDT Tom Kelly 6'6 305 RDE Richard Seymour 6'6 310

ON the passing downs LDE Trevor scott LDT R seymour RDT Tom Kelly RDe Greg ellis That defensikvbe line is going to hit the Qb alot.

There's nothing scary good about the Raiders. All you did was give the Patriots at top-5 pick in the 2011 draft. Your team should be ashamed of itself. Again.

I can't imagine how pissed off Seymour is right now. I'm sure he was planning on playing his ass off this year on a great team before taking his pay day somewhere else. And now he is going to where careers go to die. I don't think he will handle this well... after this season I could see him holding out until he is traded which would be hilarious.

I still don't quite get this deal. I guess the Pats knew he would be gone after this year and wanted to get as much as they could while they could but it still hurts their roster in a year where everyone is expecting them to make it to the super bowl. I guess this should clear the way for Wilfork to re-sign though.

And Oakland, I guess it only makes sense because nothing they do ever makes sense. He will play extremely well for them this season, and it will be completely meaningless because the rest of the team will suck or be mediocre at best. I bet there is a good chance he refuses to come into camp next year and if that's the case they traded a first rounder to rent a star during their rebuilding years.

Jeaux, is it safe to assume a Raider dynasty in the NFL? How shocked would you be if the Raiders lose a game this season? I was really on the fence about ordering Sunday Ticket this year knowing before hand who will dominate the reg season and win the Super Bowl..... but this pretty much seals the deal.

Great move by the Raiders. Al doesn't really like to draft in the first round, he was ecstatic when he heard the Pats turned down their 2nd rounder and demanded their 1st. Fucking brilliant move.

That was my thought...what did poor Rich do to deserve this? I could only imagine how this played out.....

Al Davis: Hey Belly... is Seymour on the market
    Belly: Um... no
AD: Well we want to trade for an aging, broken down guy who only has one year on his contract.
Belly: What were you thinking...3rd or 4th in next years draft?
AD: No... I'm a master negotiater you know
    Belly: I'm listening
AD: How about a 1st in the 2011 Draft when we'll undoubtedly have a top 5 pick again and theres an even better chance they'll be a rookie salary cap...
    Belly: Done.....

Yea but Jets are brillant for trading for a Older Richard Seymour(kris Jenkins) , a fat slob(360 pounds) with back problems.
have you seen the ages on your defensive Line. You wish you could get a Richard Seymour. Jealously. Lmao.

All Im going to say is teams better get raiders early. You don'tb get them early, as season goes on and raiders start to get their players back. Lookout they are going to be extremely dangerous football team.

I think its ironic that a Raider fan could be saying that one of our DEFENSIVE LINEMEN is "a fat slob" without first consulting the weight of his own quarterback...

The wear and tear that extra 2 months has put on Jenkins is pretty obvious. He's a dinosaur compared to the young, fleet-footed Seymour.

Lets see is Kris Jenkins - severly over weight and has a chronic bad back. Is he not Older than Richard Seymour. Yes.

Now throw in the fact that Raiders got a third and fifth in 2010 for derrick Burgess. they basically traded Burgess and a second round pick for R seymour.

NO Jenkins being grossly overweight 360 pounds and have a chronic bad back. Is a recipe for not playing too long. Also NT get the snot kick out of them playing in the 3-4. R seymour playing DE in the 4-3. Which is one less taxing on the body.
