I think you also need to realize that you give something good to get something good and I would rather deal Pace than Harris, Scott, or Jenkins. I think no matter what...if this goes down, our D will be taking a hit. I think we'll be just fine if Pace goes. Marshall's talent and helping develop Sanchez will be worth it.
Calvin Pace is not being traded. Repeat it until you can't get the thought out of your head. Calvin Pace is not being traded.
Well yeah ok but what I'm saying is if you take Pace away from the team we still have decent backups/youngsters while at WR we don't really have anyone as a #1 WR. I'm not saying I would be happy to let Pace go... just that: (current OLB) + ( current WR) < (current OLB - Pace) + (current WR + Marshall) anyhow this is fantasy football trade so we shouldn't really be worrying about it...
Calvin Pace + Clemens + a 2nd for Marshall? Are you fucking kidding that has to be the worst trade we could possibly make. What are you smoking?
And you forgot to factor in the 2nd round pick and our backup QB in your equation. The trade wasn't Pace for Marshall straight up
Ok, since you guys are against Pace being delt...what do you think would be a good trade? I'm telling you, it's not going to be cheap to get Marshall.
we could trade nothing in exchange for a front row seat for the destruction of the broncos seems like a fair deal. if the deal isnt one of our QB's and picks. then its not worth talking about. thats just my opinion though. hes too much of a risk to trade quality starters for.
Adam Schefter on Twitter: No, Jets fans, Kevin O'Connell's arrival does not mean this is Kellen Clemens' departure. Not at all.1 minute ago from UberTwitter
I wouldn't want to HAVE to trade someone like Pace. I know he's a great player, a big part of our D, but, I really think it's going to have to be a real "fair" trade where everyone gets something they want. Denver said a couple days ago that they wanted Harris. I think it's pretty much a lock that Kellen's days in NY are really numbered and would be part of any trade. As for the draft picks, I really don't know if I'd want to have to give a 1st rounder. Next year's draft might be the biggest and deepest ever. I really don't know, just hoping that Tanny is able to make a great deal like he always seem to pull off. Kellen, a 2nd, 3rd and 6th??
alright, if schefter said it then i consider this thread officially dead lol. leon extension it is.......about time.
They probably want to include Trusnik and Coleman... The Broncos want a good defensive player and a 1st round pick... a trade involving our 4-5th best defensive player (Revis, Jenkins, Scott, maybe Harris are all better then Pace) and a 2nd + backup QB instead of a 1st is an excellent trade IMHO. Plus Pace is 29 and Marshall 25... I wouldn't opposed to this trade even though I am happy to have Pace on our team.
We're trying to upgrade our team by adding Marshall with all other things being equal. Losing Calvin Pace to add Marshall is not all other things being equal. It's a huge loss to our team and one the FO would not be willing to make. This isn't about trading Pace vs the other core defenders you mentioned. It's about getting Marshall without having to mortgage our team's future and trading Pace would be a step towards doing just that. No doubt Marshall isn't going to be cheap. If the Broncos don't like what we have to offer, then we walk away from this deal.
