Well you got me there, I will say if we can take advantage of McDaniels idiocy then I would be fucking thrilled. Until it happens though I find it very unlikely that O'Connell is the deal breaker though.
Why not? I would have. A huge portion of the Jets fanbase lost faith in the organization when it happened. Personally, that anyone is even shocked is laughable to me. I'm sure Kerry would find it laughable as well.
Explain this exchange then: http://twitter.com/ChrebetBoy1 @kerryrhodes Hey im tellin ya, Clemens is gone. Jets traded for K.O'Connell, watch, Jets are making trade move with denver as we speak. http://twitter.com/kerryrhodes @ChrebetBoy1 u may be right!!! (hint hint)
Plus "hint hint" ....I'll be stunned if a deal didn't go through for Marshall at this point. There is absolutely no reason to have 4 QBs on staff, taking up a roster spot when there is a clear and present need for depth at other key positions.
Now your just being ridiculous, the kid was one of the best 53 players in camp. He was caught up in a numbers game over here and will either catch on with another team or will make our practice squad. How can you not respect a player up against all odds with that kind of heart? Every player on the team and the CS certainly did.
Trust me, I'll be surprised too. I don't know if the QB deal was necessarily part of it (unless it's Clemens that gets traded) but I'm pretty sure they're working on getting Marshall. I'm scared of Marshall off-the-field, but as a weapon on offense along with Cotchery, Keller, TJ & Leon, Sanchez would be given a real opportunity to excel, which would be great.
If he ever plays a single NFL game I'll be incredibly surprised. Incredibly. As for respect, I respect every single guy who shows up at camp any given season. But I'm not going to fellate this guy, simply because he's a small, scrappy player with a lot of "heart."
Is that the move that sets up the trade? Wow, I wasn't a fan of trading for him a few weeks ago, but with Marshall, this team is suddenly truly dangerous. I'm getting excited.
I'm not buying into the Woodhead hype either. Yeah he worked his ass off and blew away the bench but until I see it in real NFL game time, I'm not sold. I think he's too small.
Saying you would laugh at him or you would expect Kerry Rhodes to laugh that the guy just lost out on his dream is not showing respect. Not many people expected him to make the team but he worked his ass off and was up against all odds. He may have not made the final roster right now but he most most likely showed enough to either get picked up by a team or make someones practice squad. That is an accomplishment in and of itself.
