unreal......thats a fleece folks.... i believe seymour was a #6 pick years ago and the pats can still get a #1..... compare that with the jets #4 robertson whom the jets received squat for.... and now most recently VG at #6 who continues to look like a 6th rounder.... unreal - one of the many small but real examples of the pats being head and shoulders above most teams - including the jets in recent years. jil
Pats throwing in the towel? You can't be serious, right? As recent history has shown, this move will probably backfire for the Raiders (Javon Walker, Randy Moss, DeAngelo Hall, Gibril Wilson etc...)
wow, pats trade seymour to the raiders!! can't believe they actually traded one of the best defensive lineman in the league. but then again, i guess this means they're going to sign wilfork now. been reading the pats forum, they knew they were going to lose one of them, so they get the raiders 1st rd pick in 2011. i wonder who takes seymour's place? jarvis green is a good fill in or backup, but not starter material from what i've read. they have that brace kid and some guy pryor that all the fans have been raving about. hopefully, this brings us one step closer to closing the gap. next year, seymour is a free agent, i seriously doubt he'll stay with the raiders. rex will hopefully being taking note of such...
I'm not too happy, they'd only make this trade if they were very comfortable with someone else to fill his role. Just another shitload of picks or top 5 pick for the Pats in 2011.
Wow what a shocker, I didn't hear anything about this at all. Glad he is out of the division. Now if the Raiders cannot be terrible (again) in 2011 and give NE a top 10 pick everything will be peachy.
Guess they'll sign him long term now, otherwise this would not make sense at all. Then again, we're talking about the raiders... But what blows the most is that the patriots will have a top 5 pick next april
Figured it was only a matter of time till someone posted this in the Jet forum. Been in the NFL forum for over an hour now. http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=47908
Even though this thread should be moved, does this mean we're gonna lose in Oak-town again?? These two teams love doing business, huh? BB loves fleecing Al Davis, too, huh?
They will trade down as they usually do and get dozens of picks out of it. Good move for the Pats in fact.
Wow, Raiders just might be the worst run franchise in sports history. If their fans weren't complete douchebags I just might start to feel sorry for them. How in the world does a franchise trade a first round pick for an aging player that isn't signed past this year? What a joke, the NFL should just step in at this point. The Pats will have the first pick in the draft in 2011, after possibly winning another SB.
He wants too much money is all. The Pats can't afford to keep Seymour and Wilfork, I guess they chose the nose tackle. They chose right, by the way.
