Ps Poor guy... he just went from looking at a possible SB run to a team with no hope whatsoever of having a winning season...

I actually liked Seymour despite him being a Pat and it sucks for him they're shipping him out to that hole.

Anyway this move doesn't help the Pats this year or in 2010 so it's a good move for the rest of the division right now.

This is not good news for us. The Pats trade an aging lineman, who is very good, but are likely to get a top ten pick in 2011. Its good news for maybe a year, but bad news after that for 5 or 6 at least.

Return of the fake account troll.

We'll run on the raiders. Everyone still will run on the raiders. Your problems were much larger than on DE.

Given your recent drafting trends, it msut be a relief to not be worried about another draft bust in 2011.

You guys got a very good player for your DL, sincere congratulations for that... but this doesn't mean you will be able to stop the run.
Before you had 0 players that could do it... now you have 1... It's still not enough.

you could send Jesus Christ himself to the Raiders...and that organization would turn him into a garbage player as well.

a 30 year old player? What happened to the "youthful" raiders?

The NFL should investigate the Patriots. How many times are they going to allow BB to steal from a dying man?

If the Raiders really traded a first rounder for Seymour without first signing him to a contract extension, this is the worst move that I can remember Oakland making for a long time (and that really says something.)

Quick Tanny! Trade Ellis to Oakland...Davis would probably go straight up for Aso!

    ***Side note

Somebody said something on another website that made me wonder. Could this be a power play to bring Peppers to NE?

I wish that were the case Don. More than likely, the Pats have a guy they think can step in at less moeny and still do the Job. Add to the the 1st in 2011 and its a good move for them. Ron Brace is going to see a lot of time on that line this year I'm thinking, and I'm not liking it all that much.

Possibly, but peppers would be a 3-4 OLB. It would free up cap space and give the pats extra ammo to deal so I could see it.

Could be... i can see them giving the Panthers their 2011 first rounder and a 2010 3 rounder in exchange of Peppers... But they could wait next year and sign Peppers as a FA
