As per Adam Schefter via Twitter

Good news: He's out of the division

Bad news: Raiderjoe will be jerkin' himself to sleep on this board even moreso

Damn!!!! If true, N.E. will get the #1 pick next year. The rich just keep getting richer. How many draft picks do they have now?

only the raiders would trade a first round pick for a guy like this. seymour is a great player, but he is on the back end of his career. i'm sure this is not the last piece of the puzzle for the raiders superbowl run.

That is horrible, now the Pats can choose a future HOFer from this next draft class. I'd rather they had to draft a Patrick Chung. Bad move for the Raiders too...they need good draft selections not 30 y/o guys. The Pats just keep nibbling off the Raiders..Derrick Burgess, 1st rd. pick now

    Oops..2011. Still stupid

Don't know if I should be happy or not... Patriots got a 2011 top 5 pick :( in exchange of a 30 years old player.

From the Oakland Raiders pont of view it makes sense though since they have absolutely no idea on how to use draft picks in the higher rounds.

Al Davis.. time to look for a retirement house.

PS Who will starts for the Cheatriots now?

    +1

The Pats must have felt the same way... I'm sure he'll be a major disappointment in Oakland, like all of their veteran signings and acquisitions.

this weakens there defense for the next 2 years. the draft pick is not for next season but the following season. maybe the raiders will be decent enough not to have a top 10 pick by then! i wish we could have convinced them to take thomas jones for a 1st round pick, lol! leading AFC RUSHER! AL david, he was the LEADING AFC rusher! 1st round pick quality!
