I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry Jones checked out the price tag on a Texas product. Even he wouldn't pay, though...

Send Gholston (and his giant contract), Clemens and Thomas to SF for Crabtree and pick up Garcia off waivers. Start Murrell and move Westerman to the outside until Pace comes off of his suspension. I don't know if SF has a need for any of these players, but they obviously aren't signing Crabtree, and I would love to be rid of them (besides maybe Gholston who still can't be called a bust just yet). That is assuming we could pick up Garcia, or another capable backup off waivers.

That's two trade proposals since it was confirmed that he cannot be traded. More! More I say!

I was wondering if I was in some sort of strange time warp where it was three weeks ago.

I wonder how Deion feels that his agent so blatantly lied to him and caused him to look like such an idiot? Of course, he could have verified the rule first before opening his big mouth, but that would have been the smart thing to do.

He won't be drafted in the top 10 in 2010. That's for sure ..

to be honest I would be surprised to see him go before the late first.... I think the top of the WR corp for next year are all better prospects than Crabtree anyways, forget the whole fallout from this mess.....

I mean off the top of my head the best he could be is #3 behind Benn and Bryant.... but I'm guessing he would be #5 or #6 and thats just based on talent forget the year lay off and the fact he caused all this trouble and is still going to want no less than the niners offer this year of like 20 million....

    Crab is a mess....

I would be surprised to see him go anywhere near the first round. They usually don't like it too much when you have been totally out of football for well over a year.

Thanks. Yeah, I thought I was correct.
Jeez, what is wrong with some of these football commentators? It's supposed to be their job to know this kind of stuff. Weeks ago and not even looking for this particular piece of info, I happened to look at a list of important NFL dates and saw that 8/14 was the last day of this year when 2009 draft picks could be traded.

Yeah, an overpaid 2nd year player who was a non factor last season, a backup QB and average veteran defensive player for a future superstar receiver,,, yeah, real enticing for the Niners... After that, they can offer Ainge to the Chargers for LT and Rivers..... Ridiculous.

I mean, I could see why Sanders would say it, because he's a self-serving jackass shill who is for some reason in a position where he can actually attempt something resembling journalism. They said it was Eisen who pointed out that Crabtree can't be traded, and I'm assuming they're on the same show. Same network at least.

Shouldn't the police investigate this case. ? Crabtree will never get more money if he enters the 2010 draft. It's almost impossible Crabtree doesen't realize this and is THIS stupid.

Is there anybody here who thinks Crabtree is making a good move by not singing and can explain it? I mean come on..this is so dumb that he should be forced by law to sign the contract... :p

I'm not going to argue that one, he's a complete dumbass and I'm enjoying watching this all go down. He's going to be the laughing stock of the NFL if this continues. Kind of feel bad for the Niners though.

BTW they can do a sign and trade. So I am pretty sure he can get traded.
