If you've always felt that way, then I respectfully disagree. It just seems to me that Jets fans tend to have this innate abilty displace characteristics on players that may stand in the way of a player they want. Fast players become slow, they cover, they can't tackle, catch...you name it.
This kinds of reminds me of my arguements w/ fellow fans on another board regarding the NEED to trade for Justin McCareins.
I'm guessing it's something like: "Uh... he looks kind of like Jake Plummer, and he was OK for a season." vs.
This just in: Brandon Marshall's girlfriend flees to New York. Brandon Marshall boards flight to look for the "$&%#." Sorry. Uncalled for
"The name's Francis Soyer, but everybody calls me Psycho. Any of you guys call me Francis, and I'll kill you." laughs!
I bet that's the closest an Amish guy like Orton has ever gotten to a pair titties that big......that weren't located on a cow.
That is true. We won't be mortgaging our future. Brandon Marshall is only 25. If we get him and sign him to a 6 yr $50mil contract extension (he wants something like $10 mil a yr contract), our WR position would be fixed for atleast another 6-7 years. Cotch is 27 and has another maybe 4-5 good years left before he becomes the 3rd WR. Add Keller and Sanchez to mix and you get an excellent passing game. Leon will only make this offense dynamic and seriously speaking, if Sanchez pans out, this team can take us to SB very soon with the D we already have. But if we don't get Brandon, we lack our 1st WR, which will haunt Cotch production. Which in effect will affect Sanchez and the entire O. Its just a matter of another superstar. Ofcourse, we'll need to adress our OL and its depth but we can always do that in the years to come. We still have Mangold and Ferguson as young OL. On D, we have Revis Christ, Kerry Rhodes, Leonhard, Lito (hopefully gets better as the season progresses) and Lowery (I think he'll become starting material with the next 2 yrs). For LBs, we have Harris, Pace, and Bart. Hopefully Gholston pans out and becomes atleast an OK starter. We need DL starters though as that line is pretty thin and getting old. Jenkins can't be relied upon as back injuries can get serious. Shaun Ellis is getting up there in age. We don't have a decent 2nd DE. I'd be pissed if didn't spend a couple of high draft picks (including a first if we still have one) on DEs. IMO, getting Brandon Marshall isn't just a matter of getting one player. Its a matter of having a mediocre offense to a dynamic one. Not bad is it?
Cmon, Brandon isn't so bad. Look, he's sitting next to children: And here he is with his girlfr.... eh never mind...
I'd hate to find out what he's talking to those kids about. "See your teacher over there? I robbed her purse and stole her bra."
Whatever it is, the kid sitting right next to him really isn't too happy about it. Actually, none of the kids seem too thrilled, especially the fat kid doing what I can only imagine is the Dirty Bird all the way too the left.
And here's Brandon teaching the pop warner kids how to participate in training camp: Next up, how to drop passes.
