...another...TRADE ALERT! Titans send TE Jared Cook, DT/DE Jason Jones, and WR Nate Washington to the Rams for WR TJ Houshmanzadeh, TE Mark Campbell, and DT Cliff Ryan.
I wanted Jared Cook more than any player. He is a better receiving option at tight end than almost any player in this game if he's used right. There's not a single linebacker that can cover him... Jason Jones is a depth player behind Kerney and Carriker at 3-4 end. Nate Washington is a young wideout with good hands. I don't need elite receivers to do what I want. I'd like to have better players at the position, but I'm okay with Laurent Robinson, Ramses Barden, Nate Washington, and Donnie Avery. I shipped out Witherspoon because he doesn't fit into my system. Tashard Choice gives me a young back with decent speed and good hands - one of my biggest needs. I can now move Edge James to fullback without hesitation. Anthony Spencer has the potential to be a great pass rusher on the outside. He'll back up Chris Long and Boss Bailey. Also, in dime, dollar, and nickel packages, Spencer will put his hand in the dirt.
I was hoping for a rookie draft. I have a hole at receiver and I need a backup nose tackle...this team reminds me of the Jets. As long as I get to keep all of the players that I've traded for, I'm fine.
I'm almost certain we would. That's why I wanted to do this. I think it'll be fun as hell. Hard to get everyone together, but fun nonetheless.
I agree....i'd love to be a part of that. Finding a common time to get everyone involved will prove difficult to say the least.
not exactly sure how that would work. THe draft is a mystery to me on how the CPU plans on running it. We'll have to see. I say lets get this season going first...
DeAngelo is going to cram the ball down your throat, just like he has to everyone else.... DeAngelo Williams: 40 att. 300+ yards, 6 TD's. How you gonna stop that?
Haven't you learned anything from Mangini? You don't go around announcing what you're gonna do. It's not very smart. The 'Boys on the other hand will surely be ready for the Panthers come Week 3. Next question.
