We can also run that formation with Keller and Washington split out wide, so that wouldn't worry me too much

Where do I brag about how I wanted him in the 3rd round of that draft??? Oh, I'll take the Jets getting him in the 7th instead.

Well then I'm going to have to disagree with Vincent Jackson when he claims he's a #1 WR. Roddy White, I agree, but Vincent Jackson's a walking DUI. I'm still confused on why he's turning into a 4th round pick in fantasy drafts.

It's not that I don't like what Clowney brings to the table, I just don't think he's a starting caliber receiver in this league. He's fairly one dimensional... he runs out routes.

Remember, we're going to have to keep wallace wright for special teams. SO he's the fifth receiver. I'm not sure that they'll keep 6. It's either 6 WRs or 4 RBs can't have both. Given the kind of offense we run, I'm guessing it's going to be 4 RBs...

Stuckey probably had 3rd round talent but he was injured. The same injury kept him out his rookie year after a promising training camp.

He was a GREAT 7th round pick by Magninibaum. Gotta give credit where credit is due.

Yeah he was definitely a 3rd round talent at least. The injury knocked him down a ton. I loved what I saw of him in college, then I read that he was smart and I just assumed we were drafting pretty much any player we could with that description at the time haha.

i really liked chansi since last year. when he had the opportunity, he definetely made plays. i remember more than a few times last year when he picked up quite a bit of yardage after the catch (similar to his TD the other night).

he's the one guy besides cotch who proved he can perform in the regular season when given the opportunity.

he's definetely a wayne chrebet/wes welker type. just because the slot is usually #3 doesn't mean you can't run them as a #2 WR/option. Look at wes welker

i'd like to see creativity with lining up stuckey and keller in different places. i think that could be a potential nightmare for some defenses.

I Agree im more impressed with stuckey. He knows how to get open , has very good hands and makes guys miss after the catch and gets the tough yards. He's a quicker. smaller version of cotchery. I still think we need that burner and not necessarily a tall receiver and we have that in clowney its just will he come through for us or not.

I think Stuckey will grab 45 balls this year for about 560 yards and 3-5 TDs. Solid but nothing spectacular. Based on what rookie QBs have done in the past and Ryan wanting to run an all weather offense, I think Sanchez will throw the ball anywhere from 415-460 times. So it's not like our guy will air it out 550-600 times this year giving our WRs plenty of targets. Last year Stuckey's catch rate was 71% so I think he will be efficient but I still would like to see us acquire a receiver with #1 WR potential.

Definitely a great pick. We got great value and are going to get excellent production out of this 7th round pick. Tanny has been a very good drafter for us since being promoted to GM.

What is this mythical #1 receiver?

    Is he tall?

Anquan Boldin is 6-1, 217 lbs.

Chansi Stuckey is 6-0, 196 lbs.

    About the same size.

    Is he fast?

Anquan Bolden 40 time at the combine: 4.71

Chansi Stuckey 40 time at the combine: 4.56

Everyone considers Bolden to be a bonified #1 receiver. Not big, not fast, good at getting open and great hands. Sounds like Stuckey. What is the difference you ask? OPPORTUNITY. Bolden is part of the "Greatest Show On Turf II". Stuckeys opportunity starts this year.

    It's more than just measurements.

Boldin vs Stuckey is a slap in the face to Anquan but let's go through it.

Boldin is the BEST WR after the catch in the NFL. He looks like a big RB plowing through defenders. Stuckey is good after the catch but not even close to his level.

Boldin can DOMINATE a game. Stuckey hasn't had more than 40 catches in a year.

Boldin is a TD threat inside the 30 yard line. Stuckey has 3 career TDs.

Now I'm pretty sure you weren't comparing the 2 as football players(atleast I hope not). To me a true #1 WR can dominate a majority of NFL CBs, is a red zone threat, forces defense to make adjustments when he steps out on the field, has the ability to go deep, and is a game breaker. We have no WRs who fit that bill as of now or have that type of potential.

I don't think the knock on Stuckey is that he is untalented, I think that he has never really been able to stay healthy. He was on IR his rookie year, and then I'm pretty sure he missed a couple of games last year with injury. But I have no problem as our number two receiver

Stuckey is talented no questions asked but I think he's best suited as a slot wr in a efficient NFL offense. You can't ask for a better 7th round pick though.

Boldin has 20 lbs of pure muscle on his frame over Stuckey, if we want to look at measurables. That's a lot. He's more powerful, I think he's faster as well. Stuckey is kind of tall and thin, looks a little frail out there.
