This poll is ridiculous. We'll know the answer in 3 or 4 years or longer, not after 3 preseason games.

    1USCTrojan,
That makes no sense, how is he on "loan" to the Jets? He only started one season at USC, and he signed a 5 year contract with New York. Get over yourself and enjoy Matt Barkley.

Are you freaking kidding me? Are you aware of how excited he was to head off to New York? He's on loan to us for "a couple of years"? I hope you realize that the only way he only stays with us for a couple of years is if he's an absolute disaster and flames out at the NFL level. THAT'S what you're wishing for your former QB? What kind of fan are you?

"NY rabble?" Nice Sunday morning 8:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time rant ....tough Saturday night or sumthin' hon?...

Please don't forget that your "always a Trojan" QB was second-guessed by Pete Carroll himself for Mark's decision to leave USC a year early. He could've played his final year at O.J. Tech, but instead he called for "the check please" ... saw the green and now wears the green--so please, get over it already. You're Barkley up the wrong tree.

I don't get these responses. Did you not read the original post?

The point is, it is kind of cool that I don't think many fans would trade Sanchez for the #1 pick (Stafford) right now. Usually, you would make that move. Especially this early.

I really, really like what I've seen out of Sanchez so far. But it's been in practice and preseason. I liked what I saw out of Stafford in college a lot better than what I saw from Sanchez at USC.

Hopefully we have the better QB, but until he shows it in some real games I'm going with Stafford.

I wouldn't have done it right after the draft and I won't do it now. I thought he was the better pick for this team and still do.

Yes. I still think the poll is useless. But you have three pages of responses already, so I guess its just me. Let me ask you this - how many people responding to this poll have seen Stafford play? Probably none. And preseason games are relatively meanlingless.

And what response did you expect from Jet fans? You would see the same response from a Mirer vs. Bledsoe thread in their first preseason from their respective fan base or from a Manning, Rivers, Rothlesberger thread after their first preseasons. All fans want their teams to have picked the right guy. I prefer to wait and see.

Yeah, I guess that is true, but normally you would rather have the #1 overall pick in the draft. In the first post I said money doesn't matter, so it would be like getting Stafford at $50 million instead of his contract. I just wanted to see if it was just me who would say no thanks to swapping players and I guess I am not alone.

He chose us, he was drafted to NY. Note the fact that he graduated with a degree in Communications from a top 26 ranked academic university, and he is quite PR savvy.

Never thought I would couple NYers with "sensitive", lol. Fact is, a Trojan is for life.

Nonetheless, may he play his best while in NY, even though he is insulted by being referred to as "Dirty".

Good bye all, have a great season.

Do you not understand you can belong to multiple teams? He will be a Trojan for life, but likely a Jet for life too. One is college, one is pro. I hope a human would be able to comprehend this.

    Ok...I deserved everything I got.

My reaction was an emotional response to the "dirty" comments because I know for a fact that Mark and his family do not like it. Might as well call him a wetback or any other derogatory name. Doesn't hurt for people to understand that a joke can be taken differently from a regional standpoint, and to a Mexican-American raised to be courteous and polite, that term is a gross insult.

Here are some definitions because even with that USC diploma there are a few things you don't get.............

    * S: (n) humor, humour, sense of humor, sense of humour (the trait of appreciating (and being able to express) the humorous) "she didn't appreciate my humor"; "you can't survive in the army without a sense of humor"

Humour or humor (see American and British English spelling differences) is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement. Many theories exist about what humour is and what social function it serves. People of all ages and cultures respond to humour. ...

There aren't many QBs in the game today that I would trade Sanchez straight up for. Before the draft I thought he was going to be a great one, I haven't seen anything since to change my opinion, in fact I have seen o lot to strengthen that belief.

On a side note, the Dirty nickname is beyond retarded, not so much because I think it is deragatory, just fuckin retarded.

It has nothing to do with his Mexican ancestry.

It is obvious the Trojan tool has no sense of humor nor any inside info as to his family.

It is just a dumb play on words courtesy of the Urban Dictionay.

I really don't like the name either but Mark "Cleveland Steamer" Sanchez or Mark "Strawberry Shortcake" Sanchez do not really roll off the tongue. So we are left with this and intolerable posters like trojansonmyjohnson............ fucking joy.
