He wants to be traded and is acting in a way to force the issue.

Either they trade him or sit him. Right now they have desided to sit him.

We are 10 million under. Any deal would fit.

Probably all the same people who had all the same things about Moss and he would have come to the Jets to reunite with Pennington.

For the last two weeks of pre-season. Was that supposed to be a punishment or a reward?

i agree its like a reward for being an ass. either way though i want him wearing the green and white. he might be a mess of a human being, but this guy can flat out play the game. also, we need a number one wr worse than any team in the league. sorry to say this but cotchery is not a number one. hes a hell of a 2 but not a one. you bring this guy in and you are now truly giving sanchez the tools to succeed in this league. i say we pull the trigger on this guy.

to be honest, that video was funny as hell. I would take him if we get him dirt cheap. We could always just bench him.

You have to be kidding, right??? I have been a Jet fan for over 40 years and it was one of the least enjoyable seasons ever. Bringing in that selfish, over the hill, jerk was one of the worst moves in Jet history. How is it a good or fun season when an 8-3 team goes down in flames mainly because the selfish 39 year old QB sucked as bad as any QB who wore the uniform down the stretch. Favre came here just to prove he could still play and keep his beloved streak alive. He didn't care about the team at all. And to top it off, the QB we threw in the trash for the old selfish indecisive one came into the Jets stadium and beat his old team to win the division. How is that a good season???????

The only good to come of it is that Mangini is gone and the Jets hopefully have the QB of the future on the roster. Otherwise, when you look under disaster in the dictionary, you see a picture of Favre in a Jet uniform. And you can watch it all happen again with the Vikings this year.

We needed a true #1 WR like yesterday. He's being a jerk because he wants a new contract or to be traded. If I was a NFL receiver who just caught 200+ balls the past 2 seasons and touted as an elite WR, guess what I'm making sure i get paid like one. Why you ask? Because what happens if I step out on the field and tear up my knee, or have a career ending injury. I missed out on millions of dollars. It's not just a game, it's also a business.

Some people would say "well if I was making $2.2M a year i wouldn't bitch or complain." Well a majority of people are not in a industry with the ability to make that type of money. Bottom line if you can make more money you do it period. If I was making $50K a year as a one of the top sales men in a company yet the people who sell just as much as me are making $80K guess what I'm demanding to be paid that extra $30K because i bring in similar revenue for the company and should be compensated as much. That's what I'm worth and I shouldn't be satisfied or complacent collecting $50K a year.

Now I don't condone the way BM''s handling the situation. But I can't blame him or Leon for wanting more money. The Broncos did themselves in with the way they handled the Cutler situation. Now the best players on Denver who want more money or don't get there way will follow in both of there footsteps because they have proven if you bitch and complain just enough, you'll probably get what you want.

Josh McDaniels failed before he even coached a game lol

Like I said, if we go $8 or $9 million on Marshall, we don't have room for a $5 million deal for Leon. So no, any deal would not fit.

The deal on the table is reportedly an extension beginning next year, so Leon would only get his 550k or whatever this season...leaving us with enough dough to pay Marshall. Still don't want him here unless it's for around the same that the Pats paid for Moss.

The paids paid a 4th for a guy that had 42 catches and 550 yards in the previous season, and had missed 6 games in the past 3 seasons combined. Thats not anywere near Marshalls production of the past two years.

Except that he's not. Larry Fitzgerald has more receiving yards in the past two seaosns than Marshall. Andre Jonhson is close despite missing 7 games in 2007. Almost hte exact same Yardage as Roddy White from the Falcons.

He's not the best, let alone hands down. He's a Beast, both in the way he plays his football and beats his women. Marshall would be a upgrade at talent, but a risky one.

Why would a guy who's caught 206 balls in the last two seasons, and is totally unhappy, suddenly be a happy, team-first guy on a Jets team where his numbers are guaranteed to plummet? Ball-control team, run first, rookie QB... this is not a recipe for Brandon Marshall's happiness.

He's going to want 100 balls again, and he's not going to get them here. And what's going to happen when Brandon Marshall doesn't get what he wants?

Rex preaches "team first" as much any coach I've ever heard. Brandon Marshall isn't getting anywhere near his locker room.

It would be done with a prorated bonus that would keep us within the cap. He would get all the cash he needed to keep him happy in the first year anyway,

I still say you can't blame Favre for any of that. Everybody knew he wanted no part of coming here. He was traded. Blame Tannenbaum for being a fool and Mangini for not knowing or being to afraid of him to sit him when he was hurt.

I have always heard he is considered a top 3 receiver. Not the top receiver. Moss is better too only older but Marshall still hasn't come into his prime. He could end up as good as any of them.
