The guy is nothing if not persistent.

Maybe if enough of us, Christ's children, bow before our wonderful Creator, the Lord will bless our holy Punter's foot!

He needs to have a hard-on for the 10 yard line.

at this point....I'm hoping Hodges' god blesses Gholston with some pass-rushing talent....preferably before week 1.

^ at this point, the unfortunate reality is that Gholston and Hodges may be getting to know eachother a lot better, because Vernon's role may be reduced to chasing down/blocking for Reggie's punts.

Probably why he never gets the ball up high enough for some hang time. Doesn't want to risk kicking it into His backyard.

    LOL

I yearn for the days of Tom Tupa, how come so many other teams can just find some random dude and have him be productive for 10+ years and the Jets haven't had a half-decent punter in years?

I can't believe how long Graham lasted.

I don't see the point of this thread being made. Not really Jets news. Our punter loves God, big deal. Also, the title is a little rough for the Jets forum. Not trying to be whatever, just saying.

hey wait a minute......aren't you a loyal servant of god too? I figured, of all people, this would be a "big deal" to you.

I dont find anything wrong with someone having faith in God. With all the arrests and less than socially acceptable activities of the players around the league, this kind of thing should be welcomed. I'm not overly religous, but the heading of this thread is kind of offensive.

Until Brandon Marshall is traded to the Jets, or Vernon Gholston gets a sack, or Mark Sanchez bangs some hot supermodel (probably already happened), this is Jets news.

I know it's offensive to some people, but a lot of what's posted on this site is. I went to a Christian school for 8 years and, with modifications, still believe much of what I was taught.

No matter the thread title, Hodges' Twitter posts are, well, pointed....and maybe he needs to spend a little less time in his Bible and a little more time focused on how to blast some punts up int he air and get them to land inside the 20.

I think mathematically the Hodges posts + Clowney posts = zero.

I did notice that too looking at the twitter updates... I have only one question... WHY didn't we get AJ Trapasso :p?
I think Hodges will be the punter for this season as well... Parrish didn't look that good against the Ravens.
Maybe during the final cuts we may find someone interesting but I'm not that sure... Are there any Aussies who can raccomend a good Australian football player :p?

Wow bro, all I can say is that is highly disrespectful on every level. Everything's a joke and nothing is sacred anymore.

Your thread title is awful bro. I would hope that regardless of our personal beliefs there might be at least a minimal level of decency and respect.

We have a striker at my local soccer team that constantly kicks the ball 40 yards above the cross bar albeit unintentionally he may be worth a shot!!

On a semi serious note we have the worst punters in football, at this rate Stephen Hawking would be an improvement!

The Title could have been phrased better definetly. Oh well, you'll know why when your luck hits a new low. Lucky for you this isn't the Old Testament God or you'd be a pillar of salt by now..

Yeah, I think it is cool that he is vocal about his faith, although maybe a little too much. I was pointing out the thread did not need to be made, not to mention it was made in a very negative way.

You must not like family guy

Plus, if not for God, Hodges wouldn't be able to get a hard on for anything, right? So, I mean, it's sort of a compliment.
