He's playing against scrubs dude! The guys that he's catching these TDs against won't even make the team... they're camp fodder. Come on... you can tell because everyone one of his TDs are blown coverages. Last night's TD, the CB didn't even turn around to see where the ball was, and it was underthrown... to me, Stuckey is the #2 hands down. He's shown real flashes in his first year.

I know Baltimore has a very good defense but all of our WRs were invisible against their first stringers.

Yes, good point, but that could also be attributed to the fact that the QB's had a lineman in their grill about 1.2 seconds after the snap. He's still playing against scrubs... Ravens Scrubs, Rams Scrubs ... whatever yeah maybe they'll make the practice squad on some other team, cheer-i-o. WWWHHHOOOAAAA.

Stuckey is more of a Welker type who is a #2 that plays the slot 90% of the time to maximize his effectiveness.

So the #3, who is Clowney at this point, lines up opposite Cotchery, and then you have Keller as the TE. It makes the offense look a little less inept.

Having Clowney as the starting WR on this team is scary beyond reprieve to me. Why don't we start scouring the arena league while we're at it... when's the last time you thought of going into a season with your #2 wide receiver being a guy with ONE CAREER CATCH, in his third year no less? There will be better options hopefully, maybe the giants cut sinorice moss or something.

If the only reason for his success has been his competition, where are all the other receivers playing against the same competition? If he doesn't get a chance to play as a starter how will we ever know if he can compete against them? What is so impressive about Brad Smiths 53 career catches in 47 games? Because it was against starters? Again, I like Smith and think he's a good player, but he's not exactly a receiver that's scaring anyone. He's averaging about 1 catch per game. Wow.

His speed is world class, I don't care who the guy lining up against him is. If he can run his route and catch the ball with that kind of speed why can't he do it against starters?

What I'm saying is he plays bigger than he is, ala Steve Smith...Not even close to comparing the two, but just the way he plays.

You blow at Stuckey and he falls over.

Man, you guys are making me wince there's so much sunshine. Clowney broke his collarbone in practice last year. He's fragile, he's a wisp of a guy. One good hit from a big safety and his career could be over. You could say the same thing about stuckey, sure.

There's a reason that preseason is considered a joke. People like Clowney are that reason, plain and simple. Primarily, I think the fact that they guy doesn't have good hands (it's been pretty well documented) should be a red flag for a starting receiver on an NFL team.

He got injured in an NFL game so he's fragile? Every player on the field is one hit/play away from having there career over.

I don't think I've ever seen Clowney drop a pass in a preseason game. How many times does he have to light it up to get a chance? The guy has completely seized every opportunity given to him on the Jets during game time.

Some guys don't show up until the lights are on and it's game time. Maybe the Clown is one of those guys.

I forgot to mention, Brad Smith was in against the same players Clowney faced last night and he didn't do shit as a receiver other than drop a sure TD, drop another pass although he was interfered with, and get called for offensive pass interference. The Clown toasted the D, and made a good catch on an under thrown ball (much more difficult than the one Smith dropped) for a TD to go with another catch.

If he is for real, he may be the only true #2 deep threat that we have on this team. Everone else are #3 possession types.

Wait a minute, your not willing to give Clowney a chance because he has one career catch & he has gotten injured yet you are hoping the Giants cut Sinorice Moss? A guy who has been injured every year and hasn't done a thing even against the so called scrubs that Clowney has been destroying for two preseasons now?

Right now Clowney should win the job by default, through two preseason games he looks to be the only WR on the roster that can get any kind of separation.

if clowney is having that good of a camp r.r. would've had him start mon.the fact that stuckey was in there has got to be an indictment of clowney's skills.if he starts saturday against philly we'll get an answer on his palce on the depth chart.

The main reason we talk about Clowney so much is he's the only deep threat on a team desperate for one.

That does not make him a quality receiver, though.

No, I'm not. I don't think that Clowney runs good routes. I don't think he has good hands. I don't think he can stand up to the rigors of an NFL season. I don't think he's a starting caliber receiver in this league. I'd say he's a 4th WR at best.

I curious as to what you're basing that opinion on. Especially seeing how you seem to think your opinion is gold and everyone else is an idiot.

    that's the underlying truth.

There is nothing else to look forward to other than trading a draft pick for a proven guy or picking up an old FA veteran.

Since he has a preseason highlight reel, promote him to the 1st team and pray it continues.

But you think Sinorice Moss is? That should tell us all we need to know about what your opinion is worth.
