KC played better than Sanchez did last night. I think Sanchez will develop into to a star QB but he isn't close to that right now. I would like to see both of them in another game before having to decide who the starter will be. If you forced me to decide right now I'd go with KC because he has played better (albeit not great), because he has more experience and because of the schedule early in the season.

If Sanchez gets the nod he will never get replaced. They know what that does to young QB psyches. If Clemens gets the nod he most definitely will as he will only be the short term caretaker until Sanchez is ready.

Oh come one guys- we bitch when other teams' quarterbacks are felated on the national stage, ex all of the Favre love from Madden year in and year out, how Tom Brady could push a schoolbus full of nuns off of the side of a cliff and nobody would think to even question his judgment...

Let's enjoy the Sanchez knob-slobbering for what it was- we all know that he didn't perform to our expectations last night, but it's nice to hear someone harping about ANY Jets player in a given season...

By the way, Jon Gruden was great in the booth- nice addition to the team.

You think so? I thought it seemed like he was trying too hard. But then again he's new to this and maybe he just hasn't perfected his style yet.

I don't agree. KC performed pretty damn mediocre, really, against the 2nd stringers. And that's vintage KC right there. He can throw, and he can move, but I think he has issues with letting the play run to long and he sucks in the redzone.

I read this morning that he knows he's got a long way to go, but has been trying his best in listening to others from prior years, trying to pick up on the proper caedance, etc.

I'd much rather listen to a Gruden than say, Dennis Miller...

I dont understand why anyone would want to start Kellen Clemens, in my mind it doesnt matter because whether Sanchez stars week 1 week 9 or next year he is the future of the franchise. Did anyone see Sanchez in 2007, he was benched for Pennington once Chad was sort of healthy. I also believe he had the WORST QB RATING OF ALL TIME for a minimum of 5 games started or something.

As for Sanchez this was his second NFL Game and first start as a Pro, also against if not the best a top 3 defense in the NFL. he is going to have bumps in the road, and everyone should expect that. I think the Jets have the same chance of winning whether it is Kellen or Sanchez. You don't trade up and then spend $50 mil to not have this guy start no reason to. The Jets with clemens are not a Super Bowl caliber winning team since that is the case there is no reason not to have Sanchez start.

Aikman 1-15 his frist year now hes a HOFer
Manning - had like 30 something INTs his rookie season, MVP Super Bowl Champ and futre HOFer
It took Elway and Kelly a few years to get to where they are now.

Sanchez looked scared and made a lot of rookie mistakes, delay of games, staring down receivers, etc, Clemens made one bone headed play trying to do too much and throwing a pic 6, other then that KC looked okay. I say give KC the start verse the giants and see what he can do....Is it the worst thing in the world to let Sanchez develop and learn the system better???

You mean Clemens, and he wasn't benched for Chad, he was injured in the Pats game.
