Will Tukuafu, DE, Oregon Will projects to be a 3-4 DE at 6'4" 280lbs. Had 8 sacks and over 17 Tackles for a loss last year. A guy that really hustles all the time and is a mature player. Could be a solid back-up in the NFL on a 3-4 team and could move to DT/NT in a pinch. On the older side, went on a mission for a couple of years (Sound familiar??...Pouha). A very useful player to make your D-line more versatile.
WR Dezmon Briscoe, Kansas All the talk about Wide Receivers for next year, and I don't think I've seen Briscoe's name once. I didn't realize how good he was until I went back and saw just how productive he was. He killed Oklahoma,absolutely butchered them, 7 of 13 games over 100 yards, 10 of 13 with a touchdown, 2 games over 200 (OU and the Bowl game), and great size. They say he's got questionable timed speed, but after that top tier of WRs (Bryant/Benn/Williams), I'd consider Briscoe's size, athleticism, and playmaking ability a steal. If the Jets have a high pick and don't go WR in the first, or if by some miracle we have a late 1st rounder, this is my guy (subject to change 50,000 times before next April).
Nice call on Briscoe...a very productive player. Reesing is probably one of the most accurate passers in College football. It's amazing how productive of a QB Reesing has been for only being 5'10"+. Briscoe might be worth a look in rd 3 or 4 next year for depth. I do have some concerns that Briscoe doesn't play in a pro-system and won't be able to separate from NFL CBs, but you can't overlook his production and great hands. IMO, he will never be a #1 or #2 WR in the NFL. The Jets need to get this position locked up in the next year......Benn or Williams would be a perfect compliment with Cotchery and Stuckey in the slot as #3.
I see Briscoe as a starting caliber WR, with a chance at being a real stud. I know he's not a burner, but as long as he has the smarts to learn pro routes, then he'll get separation thanks to his athleticism and strength. Plus, the hands are tremendous.
Jabba...calling Jabba....here's a sleeper you will love!!! Terrell Hudgins, WR, Elon (North Carolina) 6'3', 235 Lbs. This player could be 2010's Ramses Barden. Excellent hands and good, not great speed for a big guy...4.5 Needs to improve route running and work on press coverage (most College receivers need to work on press). A small school player that plays teams the like of Liberty, App St. Crazy career stats for 3 years...271 Rec, 3,587 yards, 35 Tds...very productive player and awesome Redzone threat. Might sneak into rd 3 next April.
Corey Wootton, DE, Northwestern 6' 7" 275lbs. Big DE that would be a nice fit for the Jet's 3-4. The Jets need to address the DE position and Wooton would be a great choice in Rd 2. Wooton had 10 sacks last year, for a defense that doesn't have many playmakers. Wooton lacks speed, but plays quick with a good initial burst to beat his man. Can overpower the O-lineman and make plays and is a good run stopper. The Big Ten is known for good offensive lines and Wooton has shown he can get the job done.
Corey Wootton is a bad man, perfect 3-4 DE. He's top five in just about every defensive category on NW history, can get to the QB, uses his size well, and is one hell of a force to have on a D-Line. I think he'll end up as a first rounder and be a bit overvalued just being the top pure 3-4 DE.
You're probably right, look where Tyson Jackson ended up on draft day. Right now, IMO, Wooton is a high Rd 2 prospect. There is probably no other position like 3-4 DE's that are usually overvalued, due to lack of players available.
I went to Bishop Ahr and my sophomore year I was a TE I went in and had to block this f'ing guy. At the snap I got my hands on him and he just ran me right the f over. Dude was just a beast.

Lawrence Marsh, 3-4 DE, Florida 6-5 300 Jr. Redshirted junior -- should be coming out for the 2010 draft. 1 of the 3-4 DE prospects I am hoping the JETS will be looking at. Started last year for the Gators & sometimes gets lost in the mix w/so many standouts on the Gators D. I love the athleticism. Sub-5 speed in the 40. Would love him as a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
Eric Norwood, 6'1 252, Linebacker, South Carolina Norwood is the leader of a USC defense that's looking like it will be one of the best in the country. A beast against the run and the pass, Norwood is a legitimate first round prospect that will be a very versatile player in a 3-4 defense. EN can play inside and outside...plus he can put his hand in the dirt and take on blockers. Norwood's just a guy that nows how to get to the ball carrier in the backfield. First team All-SEC two years in a row.
I remember Norwood declaring for 2009's draft back in Jan and a few days later he changed his mind...a smart move. Norwood probably would have been only a mid-round pick... he has a strong opportunity to be a late 1st rd pick this April. Norwood has a non-stop motor and always seems to put pressure on the QB or RB. A sure tackler, when he wraps you up..it's over!!! I believe, I heard that Norwood is South Carolina's all-time leader in tackles for a loss. The only negative that might hurt his stock is his height...just a whisker above 6'0" (6'1" is a gift). Great player Mr E...you homer !!!!
Greg Jones, LB, Michigan St. 6'1" 225lbs. Since I live in Big ten country...here's a player. He's one of my favorite linebacker prospects for the 2010's draft. Jones had over 120 tackles last year and 14 for a loss. Always around the ball and is M St's defensive leader. Needs to gain some weight...has the frame to do so. Watch Michigan State this year....they may surprise....good underrated coach and easy schedule (No Buckeyes and Penn St at home)
WR Dez Bryant, Oklahoma State, 6-2, 220, 4.58: Bryant's rare combination of size and body control made him the most feared receiver in the country not named Michael Crabtree last season. The junior caught 19 touchdowns in 2009 and returned two punts for scores. Scouts would like to see Bryant develop more consistency in big games.
