Tomorrow, we face the dirty laundry (Boston Red Sox) for the last of 3 games in Fenway Park! Last time we faced the dirty laundry Sox, we swept them in 4 games. Taking 2 of 3 is very possible! Friday: Andy Pettitte vs Brad Penny - Win Saturday: AJ Burnett vs Junichi Tazawa - Win Sunday: CC Sabathia vs Josh Beckett - Even, but if Sabathia pitches like he did the last time he faced them, then Win. LET'S GO YANKEES!
I like the term Dirty Laundry for those fags. It's nice and insulting but you need to learn the system buddy. Huge series that could put a potential dagger in their shitty little hearts.
Well, in fairness, "Yankees vs. Ugly Vaginas Who Get Chuck Norris'd by Opposing Pitchers After Throwing Their Helmet Like a Homo" probably would have been too long to fit.
What's going on with Varitek's cervical spasms? And how many times do they need to tell Papelbon not to irritate Varitek's cervix?
Im contemplating the elimination of anyone who broke the rules to participate in the race for dibs on starting the playoff threads. ( knock on wood )
Tickets tomorrow night. For some fucking reason I've been at Brad Penny games three times in a row. It's galling.
Yikes, I'm sorry. Similarly, the only 2 times that I've been able to attend a game at the new Yankee Stadium have been Chien Ming Wang starts.
If we dont take 2 out of 3 ill be upset, Sweep is a VERY real possibility. if we go 10 up its OVER edit:to be fair its prob already over
No I haven't. You have alot of games I need to put in still. I just tally them up about once a month. I will put the new records in probably after this upcoming series. I think you should be in first...
That's funny, there was a game back in April Penny pitched in that it turned out both of us were there for. I've run into Penny two more times after that game two, although they have won 2 out of the 3 I've been at. I'm going Saturday. Maybe the foretasted rain for the weekend will let the Sox have something better than Tawawa and Penny for 2 out of the 3 games.
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...8/21/2009-08-21_yankees_can_bury_red_sox.html It will be interesting to see if they do have a killer instinct or if they are another of the same Cashman-Torre sissy teams we have seen earlier this decade. I think Burnette, Swisher and even Gardner if he was still here bring a different mindset now.
I'm going tonight, better not fucking rain. Sox have never won (0-3) with Dierking at Fenway. Bullshit with this talk of this being over. Sox just pummelled Halladay. They have three starters, just like the Yanks, considering you never know when and if with Chamberlain. this could get tight.
First of all, I hate the idea of "killer instinct" in baseball. This isn't boxing. It's not even basketball. Secondly, I doubt you're talking about the 2000 team, that certainly sucked in September, but won the World Series. And you can't be talking about those Cashman-Torre sissy team that won the division by 13.5, 10.5, 6.0, 3.0, and 10.0 games earlier this decade, right? Those hardly would fit with the idea of a team that lack killer instinct. I suppose you might be talking about the team that won the division in a tiebreaker after coming back from 9.0 games back, but that wouldn't make much sense, either. So that leaves 2007, which is only one team.
