With the moves they have made this off season I wouldn't be surprised if it went something like this... Marshall to raiders, Michael Mitchel to bears, and Hester to Broncos.
Off-season depth charts are meaningless. The Chiefs have Dwayne Bowe listed as 5th on their chart, doesn't mean they are trying to trade him.
Marshall's 40 time (4.57) is too slow for the Raiders. DHB is a better receiver because his 40 time is faster.
Dwayne Bowe also didn't meet with Chiefs management today, Bowe didn't miss practice today while healthy, Bowe hasn't been asking to be traded all offseason and there are no reports out of KC about a "bombshell" news story concerning the Chiefs... other than that you're right on the money with the Dwayne Bowe comparison.
McDaniels is an idiot. He's drove their ex franchise qb out of town and now he's going to drive their top wr out of Denver. BUT... I'd be all for landing Marshall.
Should be interesting to see how all this pans out. I'm not holding my breath for Marshall in Green, obviously, but I'll be interested to see where he lands if it is indeed a trade story.
Gotta love how the story is leaked by the NFL Network and that the story will be revealed on the new inside reporter's blog. Hmmm...isn't today Shefter's first day with ESPN? Love it.
I'm sure it's all speculation, but there's this from KFFL via the Denver Post: Unless the bombshell is that Marshall is going to sit out the season, I doubt we get concrete news tonight as promised.
Fits with what I posted from Klis above and fits with the idea that it's a holdout that it's a holdout that's being reported. I'm not sure why that would prompt quite that reaction from Dukes unless Marshall is threatening to sit out the season.
Look up. It wasn't the holdout. Just more idiocy by the Broncos, although this one seems awfully mild.
