Specifically, Dukes says there's a "BOMBSHELL ALERT COMING OUT OF DENVER." Dukes later offered this clue: "No one died if that's what you're worried about but i just don't know what they are thinking." He also says that "Jason LaCanfora is working the story and will be posting it on his blog late tonight." Our guess is that the Broncos are either trading Brandon Marshall or taking some sort of action against him based on the perception that he's in some way embellishing an injury that has kept him out of action for most of camp. It's also possible that they are signing Brett Favre. We haven't asked Jay Glazer to make a prediction on that one. Yet. The only thing about which we're reasonably certain at this point is that La Canfora had better get his ass in gear, because thanks to Dukes the fox hunt is on.
I'm going to assume it has nothing to do with the NYJ, but holy fuck I'd be doing cartwheels if we landed Marshall.
Marshall to the Jets would be huge. I'd be amazed if that was actually what happened. I can buy the Favre theory though it would definitely cause a massive WTF?
McDaniel has to be unhappy with Marshall at this point and he's already shoved the franchise QB out of town so getting rid of a WR is going to be cake.
There's no way Denver is gonna take TJ in a trade for Marshall...I think they signed 2 RB's in the offseason and drafted Moreno
Please oh please don't let the Moreno injury be anything more than a sprain ACL. If its anything more than that, his season could be done if not he would miss a lot of time........
CORRECTION: The guy working the story, Jason La Canfora, was a beat writer for the Redskins apparently... more than likely they're the ones involved with this.
I read earlier today that Denver put out their first depth chart and had Marshall listed as their 4th receiver. That supports the rumor that he might be in the process of getting dealt.
Maybe the bombshell alert is that two idiotic franchises are about to make a deal that will likely make no sense to their respective teams and a shit load of cash will be thrown around just because they got it.
