Adam_Schefter One night was all Jets needed to make roster moves. Jets signed free agent G Dennis Conley and waived QB Chris Pizzotti and WR Paul Raymond.8 minutes ago from UberTwitter

Whenever I see some UDFA fuck up in preseason I say, he's cut. This one came quick. Rex Ryan doesn't fuck around.

It seems Ainge did well enough to lock up that 3rd spot ... I can't disagree.

He should still do well off his website (not work safe) http://www.paulraymond.com/

Ainge did very well from what I've seen and read. Actually I think KC should be looking over his shoulder , not that he did anything wrong. Just Ainge seemed to have a better outing.

Raymond has been here for awhile. Too bad he blew it so early and badly. He seriously cost the team a W. Pizotti must have pissed someone off. He didn't even see the field yesterday and looked good in camp I thought.

Raymond was a given, but I'm a bit surprised "Harvard" was let go so soon. What the hell could he have done wrong?

I assumed he would be on the Practice Squad...guess he still could be in theory, but he musta pissed Rex off to be let go so soon--before any cut dates. These seem like "message cuts"

Yeah I agree. I'm surprised we didn't keep him at least one more week and see what he can do in a real preseason game. The Jets contacted him before the draft was over, so they seemed to have their eye on this kid. They must have really not liked what they saw from him

Maybe he was too smart. Some guys just don't do well in the locker room.

I'm surprised the Jets moved so quick to get rid of Pizzotti. I would have thought they would have kept him on and eventually moved him to the practice squad. Maybe they want a closer look at Ainge as a possible #2 and want to put more focus on him in practice. I guess Pizzotti could eventually wind up on the practice squad anyway.

And Raymond must be kicking himself. Hopefully, he can catch his own foot :p

It has to be questioned why the Jets were so quick to drop Pizzotti. I think a possible answer is that Rex wants to give Ainge more reps in practice, because he looked pretty damn good during last night's game, and Clemens looked like he usually looks.

clemens played well yesterday. get over it.

as for ainge - i think he played well enough to take answer the question of who's the 3rd qb. no point in thinking about that battle anymore.

4 for 4 with no picks but it was extremely pedestrian. Clemens is going to take forever to do anything, if he does anythig at all.

I mean really, everytime I watch this guy play it's the same damn thing: sketchy.

Obviously Sanchez had the better series with the bomb and resulting TD. I don't know how much can be gained from watching so little though.

That doesn't mean Clemens didn't play well. He also made a good play w/his feet after avoiding a sure sack and sprung that long Brad Smith run.

I really hope the o-line can play next week so we can see some more live action out of both of them.

Clemens can't take care of the football. He is a guaranteed turnover.

Didn't see Pizzotti's cut coming. Raymond, on the other hand, was just waiting for it. You don't fuck up like that and stay on the team.
