I guess no one else was around last night either, but what an amazing comeback! When Buchholz was thrown out I was sure they would lose, but Martinez came up huge. Hopefully they can keep the momentum going.
i was out all night, so alas I could not make it. hilights seemed crazy. will lester ever win a deserved game again
He really should have been held at third. That was a tough play to read, if it had been a more routine play he would have made it, or if he had more experience with baserunning. Apparently he's close to Ellsbury's speed, but that just shows why you need more than speed to be a great baserunner.
ya he beat ellsbury in like a AA sprint or something. He was really uncertain if he made the catch, and yes, he shouldve stopped at 3rd, but whoever was behind him at the time (i don't recall), was on his ass. He was in between 2nd and 3rd there for like 20 seconds.
Yeah, it was Ellsbury behind him and he picked up the ball right away. Apparently Buchholz was recruited by Purdue to play WR haha. Pretty crazy.
It would have been amazing if he bowled the catcher over. Then we could set a new standard for complete players.
somehow i missed brian anderson came up for reddick. A 1st round pick, i count on him using that 1st round talent.
this is embarrassing. this happens just about daily. multiple SB's without a chance. obviously , that HAS to be addressed in the offseason.
I was camping this weekend. Anything exciting happen besides the return of Mr. 258 OBP Alex Gonzalez and the debut of Clay Buchholz as a pinch runner?
