Those teams ran the ball as you say down raiders throat than why are they ranked so high passing the ball. Giants defense had 24 More attempts on them against lesser passing teams, than the raiders defense. Now look at the top passing offenses raiders played in comparisonj to Giants and its not even close. You were saying. It dosen't jive with your arguement.(not enough diffrence in attempts to justify)

Yet with all those additional passing attempts the Giants actually let up less passing yards. Go figure.

The reason running teams passed more on the Giants than passing teams did on the Raiders is because running teams couldn't run on the Giants as well as passing teams could run on the Raiders.

Again can you count how many times Raiders played top passing offense in comparison to the Giants.

    Raiders top passing offenses they played 1. saints(1 game) 3 passing offense Denver(2 Times) 4 Texans ( 1 time) 7. Chargers (2) 10. Miami (1) 11 . Tampabay 12 NE Versus Giants 2. cardinals (1) 6 eagles(twice) , 9 cowboys (2) 13. 49ers(1)

24 more pass attempt is not a big diffrence in comparison to the top passing offense Raiders defense faced. Its simple math.

24 attempts is roughly the equivalent of an entire game. The Raiders defense is not nearly as good as the Giants. You can argue about 40 time and talent all you want, but the defense for the team you supposedly root for sucks.

24 pass attempts is not that much when you factor in the quality of passing offenses raider faced last year. You faced 24 more passes against some of the weakest passing offenses. Again the arguement isn't who has the better defense. Giants secondary is average at best, made to look better because of their front seven. Can't wait till Raiders /Giant game to expose that average secondary.

Im still waiting for all the facts.

WR Javon Walker taking throw from intern Danny Southwick, any day now he'll be back. Hands are very impressive. Very.

Javon Walker who coaches say is two weeks away is telling everyone he playing thursday against the cowboys. Reports are the real Javon Walker could be back. That will have an effect on my prediction.
(could change this pediction before the season)
Right Now Russell will throw 470 times with 282 completions for 3,300 yards 19 TDs and 9 interceptions
    with 5 fumbles.

I'm going to paraphrase the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall and say

Booshit. Booshit. Booshit. No predictions for me. Booshit. Booshit.

You have the simple math ass backwards. There is more risk putting the ball in the air than there is running it on the ground. Of course there is also more reward. When playing the Raiders the reward for running the ball was so good there was no good reason to pass the ball.

For example If you got the same gains in T Bills as you did in Stocks why would you buy stocks? The answer is you wouldn't.

No IF there was substantial more pass attempts Giants defense saw, than what Raiders defense saw. Than the point you were trying to make might be valid. Teams just ran it instead of throwing it on the Raiders defense. Its not because they didn't face a substantial number of more attempts than Giants in comparison to the top passing offenses raiders played, than the Giants did. Your theory holds no water, but it was a nice try.

    1 + 1= 2.

If the Raiders' secondary is as amazing as you say, shouldn't they be able to handle these all-universe passing games you elude to while not giving any information about them?

Four words Gibril wilson+ deangelo Hall- hall was just never comfortable playing raiders style of CB -man to man. Gibril wilson couldn't cover my grandma if she was playing te. Tyvon Branch is a big big time upgrade in coverage than wilson. Than throw in the fact all the Raiders Cb's(Asomugha, Johnson and Routt) are much more comfortable playing outside than playing inside. Routt as the third Cb that job fell to him. Hes not as good playing inside, as he is playing outside. Thats the last thing they must find is a nickel CB. (D Hall and G Wilson the piece of garbage have been replaced

Keep running 2 TE and 3 TE sets against the Giants if they use this consistently. Actually, one of the high schools around here started a 5-2 last year, so I don't even consider this rare.
