I really like Rex and his culture change. Sometimes he's over the top and too boastful......the rubber meets the road in early Sept. He has to put up or shut up. I'm confident Rex will turn the Jets into winners...it just may be not as quick as most Jet fans want. Injuries and lack of depth a multiple positions may hurt the NYJ this season. The Jets were very lucky last year with very few significant injuries.
I agree with the above poster. He has talked a huge game and I love that. It is something we haven't had in a long time and I finally feel confident going into this season. Ryan will make us winners at some point if we give him some time.
Heheh... bookmarking thread for that 6-10 season where everyone is screaming his head should roll. Seriously though, I'm with Murrell on this one. Been too long since this team has had a defense that can drop some hurt on a team. It will be nice to see if it materializes.
With good reason..we have one of the hardest schedules in the league, no proven QB and a mammoth lack of experience and talent at WR. Still, this year will be more fun than usual despite the results.
I am really looking forward to see this defense. I think the offense will have struggles, but this defense should be stellar.
I still can't answer this question in my own mind: is Rex a cutting-edge coach who delgates responsibility appropriately or is he in over his head and will be clueless when the first breakdowns occur on offense or special teams. He is the antithesis of Mangini, which may be good. But can he manage timeouts, replays, etc. Will the players walk all over him if things go south? Why didn't he get the Baltimore job?
It will be boom or bust for sure. If the D falters, this team is in big trouble as the O cannot carry the team yet.
Our D is going to be the best in the league this year. I have no doubt about that. I just hope our offense can score enough points to keep us ahead.
Google is your friend... you don't understand a word, look it up. Niggling, or niggle all in common with fuss, worry, quibble, or a small complaint or problem. Clearly not a commonly used American word. Not a racial slur either.
uh - i never thought it was a racial slur - i know what the word means. The statement isn't very clear though.
