1. Stranger things have happened, and Tannenbaum has shown he can make incredible deals a reality. 2. Why wouldn't you want Crabtree? He's a talented and athletic receiver. He and Sanchez could start to work on their chemistry immediately and he could emerge as that elite talent the Jets WR corps lacks. 3. AMEN!!
Arizona - Hightower & Wells San Francisco - Gore St.Louis - Jackson It's Seattle. Isn't hard to figure that one out.
Crab's slow, he's a jerk, he has questionable work ethic, he's a jerk, he lets the ball get to his pads, and he's a jerk. I don't want him anywhere near this team - I said before the draft that he had bust written all over him. His head his like a balloon and keeps getting bigger and bigger. Requesting more money than DHB because he went higher than him in most MOCK drafts is the most retarded excuse I have ever heard. This kid and the people (his cousin) that represent him are a joke.
i think STL could be that NFC team. they have nothing behind SJ, and he's had some recent injury trouble.
If we're shopping him, it's for a reason, so I'd take a 4th pick. He's not getting any younger and quite frankly, I'm not sure he's got it anymore. Tannenbaum must have gotten word from Ryan that Green is the real deal, otherwise this wouldn't even be an issue. Don't forget that Jehuu Caulcrick is in his 2nd year with us and also a choice. Tony Richardson's health is questionable, but maybe it's only a nick. If so, why wouldn't Jones be expendable, especially if we could still get something for him?
No one gets pissed about anything on this board. We haven't won a championship in 40 years and no one is pissed about that except Champ.
if the jets are looking to trade thomas jones, then this means that shonn greeene is the real deal. we know we'll most likely trade him for a wr. boldin is unhappy with his contract, and i just recently saw on nfl.com that their 1st round pick, chris beanie wells, just got injured, and it may be more serious than they let out. also, san fran is in a tough spot as crabtree has threatened to not sign a contract and re-enter the 2010 draft, they may be more than willing to trade his rights for jones, giving them a complement to gore. im down for either one
Of course it's not really going to happen, but it certainly falls in line with Tanny's policy of looking into every possibility. I don't see a deal coming for Thomas, unless he wants to play with his brother for some reason and requested the trade.
And Beanie's already hurt. Note, it said the Jets contacted a team, not vice versa. I reiterate, it's likely just Tanny exploring options. Much more likely that he's trying to address a need at this point in the offseason than attempting to stockpile for next year's draft.
