Apparently he hasn't impressed the Giants either.

you can say that about 20 other wideouts that will be cut from their respective teams.

Tyree was never going to make the Giants with Barden, Sinorice Moss, Manningham, Steve Smith, Domenik Hixon, and Hakeem Nicks. That's six guys he had to beat, all younger, and all are more appealing at WR due to their upside than Tyree.

That said, he's probably not that good. He'd be helpful on special teams, but we already have a few WR's who play good ST's.

Wow, what a catch. Rodney (Top 5 hated player all time) Harrison actually helped him hold onto it.

Our WR's suck, I wouldn't mind bringing him in if we don't bring anyone else. Somebody has to join our widerecievers though.

Tyree is a VERY good special teams player. He's also been a better WR than given credit for when given the opportunity, he's physical and fights for YAC. Having said all this, his hands aren't amazing and he does struggle to get open. He wouldn't be bad on the Jets though. He does have experience, something that Jets WR core lacks outside of Cotchery. He could be a solid #4, behind Cotch, Stuckey, and Clowney.

We already have David Tyree. His name is Wallace Wright. We need a guy who can start.

When I first saw this thread, I was like

    Are you SERIOUS?

David Tyree catches one pass, gets a book, and now we should pick him up? UH

    NOOOOOOOOO

By the way the practice before the superbowl, he literally dropped every ball thrown at him. The guy sucks.

How many starting caliber WRs do you think will be cut from their teams and available on the waiver wire? You'll have to settle regardless of who you pick up.

He's not a great practice guy, never has been. Ask anyone from Tom Coughlin to Eli Manning to David Tyree himself to verify that.

Yeah but what's the point of picking up someone who we already basically have who doesn't even know the system? It's a different story if you're talking about someone who would obviously be the starter, but you're not.

If they aren't any better than who we have... why pick them up?
