http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=NFL&id=4670 I know, not Jets news really, but he is one player that I'll keep an eye on since I thought he could be pretty darn good from the limited action we saw him in. It would be funny though if he somehow takes over that team and Quiinn / Anderson become backups
Both Ratliff and Clemens got screwed when Brett Fucking Favre showed up last year. Definitely stifled their progress, both of them.
I don't think so. Ratliff played against practice squad players and a lot of you guys had your green glasses on when looking at Brett Ratliff. He went undrafted for plenty of reasons. Clemens is much more talented, but he doesn't have a good head on his shoulders and I blame his mental woes on the Favre trade. I still find it funny that people are complaining that we traded a UDFA third stringer for a potential franchise signal caller. Seriously?
Hey, I have no faith in Clemens at this point. And you never know sometimes. Ratliff showed some flashes here and there... given a little time you never know what you will end up with.
Because where a player is drafted has a lot to do with it. You'd think that by now we'd stop labeling players with their draft status like if he's UDFA he's automatically garbage.
Top 5 picks do become busts and UDFAs can turn out good from time to time. It would be typical Jets if ratliff went on to have a quality starting career while Sanchez busts.
No it wouldn't. Ratliff went from being a third stringer in New York to being a third string in Cleveland. He's backing up Quinn and Anderson... The guy's nothing better than a backup.
