True Blood

...just because we've all seen it, doesn't mean everyone has. I don't want to ruin it for someone that watches the episodes later in the week.

This show is fucking retarded. I'm not saying it's bad, I honestly can't even tell if I like it or not (based on the 3 or so episodes I've seen). But it's absolutely batshit insane.

 

I've only seen a few episodes but it seemed like soft porn with a marginal plot and bad acting.

 

I will say that the show doesn't live up to the completely awesome title sequence.

 

I've seen all the whole series to date and I feel the same way. I kind of like the show but I can't tell if it's supposed to be this cheesy or not. And most of the characters annoy the crap out of me; and the show is way too oriented around drama and love triangles and whatnot for my taste.

 

Yes I would also like to be invited to one of her parties.

 

You should really watch it from the start and then judge it. I'm sure you can find season one online for free.

Season two is most definitely much more crazy and confusing than the first season...

The acting is supposed to over the top and quirky, so really, the only "bad" actor is the guy that plays Eggs. He doesn't fit in on this show at all...

Once everything unfolds, it will make a lot more sense to you guys...I guarantee it.

True Blood's written by a woman...what do you expect?

Like you, I wish there would be more violence and less love stories, but I have a feeling we'll see some pretty epic kills (vampire and human) in the next few episodes...especially when the werewolves show up.

 

I don't think I want it to make sense. I don't give a hot cup of fuck about any of the characters relationships, or about vampires and werewolves, or any of that garbage. But I do sort of enjoy turning off my brain for an hour and watching a completely disjointed vibrating-hot-chick-blood-orgy-human-sacrifice-mindreader-in-church-did-I-mention-hot-chicks mindfuckapalooza.

 

True Blood is definitely a deeply flawed show. I'd say most of it stems from the fact that either Anna Paquin or Sookie, possibly both, are terrible. Sookie is so fucking unlikeable; I'd like to put it all on Paquin, but I can't imagine any other actress would win me over as Sookie.

It's a show that either has you at the premise or it doesn't. I can't turn down anything vampire or zombie related.

 

That qualifies as a spoiler. Enough of that. Let those of us who watch the show and didn't read the books enjoy the show.

 

Good episode today I thought. I was starting to lose interest a little, but I'm glad I didn't miss this one.

Anyways, the funniest and best episode of the year.

 

No love for last night's awesome episode? The showdown in the church was awesome, but im glad to see that the fellowship of the sun arch isn't exactly over yet, that reverend really needs bite the dust. It was also great to see Jason Stackhouse finally acting like a badass and not just some dumb hick (even though he still is one).

 

Jason was great in this episode...absolutely hilarious.

The "...inside of your wife" line was awesome.

 

The end of the episode was crazy. I figured Luke was just going to make an attempt at staking one of the vamps...but a suicide bomb covered in silver? Newlin really has that much of a hold on his brain?

I have a feeling Godric isn't going to be a little bitch anymore...

 

i was quite intrigued by yesterdays episode...but i was not feeling the cutting up of the heart. yuck

btw what is the story behind that that woman (the creepy swamp monster) who causes everyone to do each other?

 

Look up what a Maenad is...that should kind of explain her...I guess.

 

Yep that should sum it up. They make her out to be a conduit to the god Dionysus's evil side.


This series has gotten better and better this season. Seems like every episode is better than the last and the last was pretty damn good.

I hope they make Godric a regular character. They can do a lot of great story lines with him.

Eric went from some boring, brooding, evil male runway model to easily one of the best characters on the show.

My one big objection (mild/nitty complaint) is that Maryanne story line has moved a little bit too slow for my tastes, where as they are just speeding along with the Vamps. I think the Vamps have way cooler characters and story line. Just my opinion.
