I know he's not a Jet, but these pics were too sweet not to share. He's a third round pick out of Cal Poly Tech. His college stats are 206 receptions, 4,203 yards, and an eye-popping 50 touchdowns. I am REALLY looking forward to seeing this kid in preseason.
6'6" and 230lbs. He's a physical freak and, by all reports, a bright guy. I am really glad to see him in blue. I think he'll be a redzone target this year, but could be a serious player in the years to come.
That is an awesome catch. I remember seeing him on the draft board and secretly wishing the Jets picked him up, but I figured he'd be a project. But he has what you can't coach, size. Looks like he may potentially be the answer to Plaxico. How's his speed?
^ Yeah, a lot of people on here were excited about him coming out and the possibility of seeing him in green. Oh well. Another good pickup for the Gmen.
Combine he was a 4.6 (I think) but his proday was a 4.52. Burress was a 4.59 guy. I don't know how often Burress was at that speed though, he was rarely healthy.
I have a friend that has had the Giants draft a player he wanted for the last 5 years running. It's kinda awesome talking to him on draft day.
I would gladly take whichever wide receiver the Giants cut this season. I'm not saying they'd be a star, but they've got such an amazing variety of young wide receivers on their squad.
I am very anxious to watch more of a freakishly huge wide receiver named after a pharaoh. It's a very badass combination of traits.
I believe that pass was thrown by Andre Woodson. Either him or Rhett Bomar. I think that is how Barden has been working with for now.
Ahh, I see they've modeled their accuracy after Eli "Heave-the-ball-and-pray-someone-can-jump-ten-feet-in-the-air-to-catch-it" Manning
If the Giants had a WR that could make that kind of catch in a Super Bowl, I would be impressed. Oh wait.
Good. He's been beating the jam well and split the secondary to catch a deep pass yesterday. Sadly he's been out for two days with a sore hammy.
