http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/08/wide_receiver_wallace_wright_e.html So NY, NY becomes NC, NC?
this reminds me of the chem ratliff had with clowney. it's about the reps you get. i can't see him making any impact as a WR.
I can remember Wright having great TC's the last two seasons. He is extremely valuable as a special teams ace, if he can contribute on offense it's a bonus. Not expecting him to though.
I don't see how you can say that at this point. If he's Sanchez' guy then he'll be on the field come Sunday.
training camp isnt even a pre-season game and yet a combo of the likes of manning-harrison, brady-moss,namath-maynard has been transformed in suny,ny.
Does anyone besides me find it scary that we're even having this conversation this close to the season when we knew we needed another WR even before Coles left? Wright, Clowney and Stuckey might be ok, but that's it. They're only OK. Still not a single elite WR on the roster. If Sanchez wins the starting job, Wright wins a job on offense. That's the only way it will happen.
I don't remember ever hearing about Wright shining at WR in TC. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just don't remember that ...
No, I fully expected this. Herm left a talent like Cotchery sit and never gave him a chance. The Jets are going into this year hoping one of the group steps into the role instead of trading away big assets for a repalcement. The Jets are hoping that one of the ones you mentioned or Brad Smith can be the guy. My Money is on Stucky, but who knows. We have two viable NFL pass catching threats in Cotch and Keller. The #2 wideout could be a rough spot this season.
What was Wright's problem at WR? He's made a couple of really tough catches the few times I've seen him in the preseason. If there's a chance for him to crack the lineup, it's this year.
