Klecko is the only one with a real chance.

Toon should have consideration but its just not going to happen.

    This article sucks.

    Bwahahahahahaha

Talk about an underdog. Ward, never known for putting up gaudy statistics, was never considered one of the top receivers in the league, but time and time again, he found ways to burn defenders down the sideline and make big catches for the Jets.

In 1998, with the AFC East title on the line, Ward caught the game-winning touchdown from Vinny Testaverde to give the Jets a 17-10 win over the Buffalo Bills.

I don't think Ward was ever even the second best wideout on any team he was ever on. WTF. I hate the Bleacher Report.

    Hey Jet fans!

You may remember me from WFAN. I was partners with two Jet fans in Jody MacDonald and Joe Benigno. I am now working in Miami where they love to hate your Jets!

The answer is unsoubtedly Joe Klecko. The man starred at every position on the D Line and was the life of the Sack Exchange. He made it easy for Gastineau to accumulate lots of sacks. Klecko was better than Howie Long and Long is in the Hall of Fame.

He was awesome. He should be in the HoF cuz he caught that one game winning TD pass. I guess he was supposed to catch it since it was thrown his way?

It's a crime if Klecko doesn't get in.... hands down that would be my choice.

Dedric freaking Ward though? C'mon already... :drunk:

The only way that the answer is not overwhelmingly Klecko is if you think he will, in fact, make the Hall some day (I can't imagine there is anyone on this board who doesn't think he deserves it). If by "greatest" he means a player that could have made it if he hadn't had bad breaks/injuries, it has to be Toon. If he means a player that achieved a lot in his career, but wasn't quite at the HoF level, I would say McNeil.

Agreed. You can make a case for Freeman McNeil but he got hurt too much, if Mark Gastineau played longer I would put him in there, too.

Really the only guys w/ a case are Klecko and Winston Hill. I think Mawae probably won't make it but he'll have a case and Curtis is a lock.

W/ the compiled #s Vinny had he might be in he discussion had his teammates showed up in Denver in the Championship Game but he has no shot.
