That would be tragic. I saw him live in Boston at a small club doing everything from old SG stuff, through audioslave to his newer solo shit....holy crap it was sick. First time I ever saw him sing live other than TV and on TV he was insanely pitchy and just downright bad. But this show man he was bangin. Fuckin great show.

I heard SG is getting back together, so Ima need to see that.

Doesn't sound like Soundgarden is coming back anytime soon.

^ That sucks. It doesn't sound like it'll never happen, but I was hoping it was the real deal. Either way, B-Sides sounds like an awesome idea.

I kind of jump around from genre to genre as far as what I listen to most. I was joking mostly about power metal and thread although the joke is half true. I kind of stopped listening to power and thrash when I discovered death metal and black metal in the late 80's and I kind of listen to most kinds of metal aside from those two and also that pathetic metalcore shit. For a few years now I've been listening exclusively to doom and stoner rock. There are a ton of good Sabbath worship bands in the latter category.

The bands that get the most play from me right now are:

    Burning Witch

    Electric Wizard (Youtube Index)

[ollie's girlfriend]I like the first wave of black metal like Bathory & Darkthrone. Black metal is becoming the hipster genre of the metal world, all about what's grimmest and most necro. Even when there's no longer any discernible song structure. I feel like you could play feed back with people in corpse paint & every black metal fan would wet their pants. ollie never described you as a pants wetter  [ollie's girlfriend]

I only wet my pants for big-titted women covered in leather beating me with whips and such.

Yeah, although I still love a ton of old black metal, you really have to dig to find any good new stuff right now. It's out there, but it's buried by the rest of the faker shit. I still listen to De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas about once a month, though, that album never gets old to me.

Ha ha, time to make the move to digital? Nah, I know what you mean. The $hit is so relaxing no matter what state of mind. It's hard to out play it and nobody ever asks to change it while cruzin'.

Great show the other night at the Sellersville Theater in PA, nice to sit down directly in front of Ty the entire night, 8 chairs upfront, four tables then 8 chairs The stage was only two feet high and even Dug commented thet they don't play shows like this anymore where everyone is seated.

In the audience were the founders of Mega Force records Jon and Marsh Zazula, Dug mentioned he had not seen them in many years and thanked them for giving them their start.

The guitar tech gave me the setlist from the stage in front of Ty's guitar effects, I don't think I will ever be able to see a better show. One of my top 10 favorite all time.

    Setlist (as written)

    Groove
    Alright
    Pleades
    Move
    What Is This
    Germany
    Black Flag
    Pray
    Dogman
    Go Tell Somebody
    Looking For Love
    Summerland
    Over My Head
    ------------------
    Goldilox
    Its Love
    Born To Be Loved

Kings X Wed, Jets game tonight not a bad week.
