I'd rather take a chance on a Britt Davis or Wallace Wright on the roster than sign some has been, never was, or never will be like Marvin Harrison or Matt Jones.

Those are not the only choices.

It's still early on in camp so you can't believe just yet we have a legit threat in Davis, but you can cross your fingers and hope maybe we came out with this years late round/UDFA gem like a Terrelle Davis or Wayne Chrebet

I just dont see where there's a roster spot open for another WR. Locks to make the team are:
Cotch, Stuckey, Clowney, Smith, Wallace Wright.

Then we have a 6th round pick invested in Marcus Henry, and Aundrae Allison is also competing. So that would mean Britt Davis, Marcus Henry, and Aundrae Allison are all competing for a 6th WR position.

I know we had 6 on the roster last year, BUT remember we only had 2 rbs for all but 2 games, now well have 3 on the roster this year. We also only had 2 qbs on the roster last year, and im pretty sure Ainge will take a spot this year. So i just dont see us having space for a 6th WR

We actually had 4 QBs on the roster last year. Ainge was put on IR pretty early and Ratliff was the emergency 3rd string QB. If Davis is out performing Henry and Allison then he will get a spot. I like that we have some competition, and I think our WRs may end up better than we all expect. We'll see though

Why is brad smith a lock to make the team? Because he plays special teams? That means we take up 2 spots in smith and wallace who are special teams guys and do almost nothing at wr. I hope some of these new guys can play special teams AND wr

No way is Clowney a lock to make the team.

Clowney is a lock to be relieved that Twitter is back up. That's pretty much it.

Because he's a great special teams player and has been a productive situational offensive player.

The only lock to make the team at WR is Cotch. Anyone else should be on the bubble.

Agreed. No one other than Cotch has proved anything thus far.

Word is Smith has improved by leaps and bounds at WR this offseason. If that's the case, fantastic. If not, I'd argue Wright is the only one who truly merits a spot based on ST any more. Smith is a great lead blocker on KOR, but bringing in Allison as a second option back there may kill Smith's role on special teams. Wright is a much better gunner.

I'd say Cotch, Stuckey, and Wright are locks. Smith and/or Clowney will make the team if they really have improved. I'm not sure we carry a 6th receiver unless one of the other guys makes a name for himself on ST (Allison). Davis would be a good PS addition, but I don't see him making the active roster. Henry is a bit of an odd man out. I'm really not sure what happens at this point, but 5 WR and 1 PS makes the most sense.

I know this kid, I live in Northern Illinois. I wouldn't say he is a starter, but he can be one of those guys who comes out of nowhere and makes some big catches.

    That's a little much.

Chansi Stuckey made plays last year. Maybe, MAYBE, if he really falls apart during pre-season, he's not a lock to start, but to say he's on the bubble... that's just incorrect.

Our wide outs on the bubble are David Clowney, Wallace Wright, Davis, Henry and Allison. Sounds like Davis and Wright have both been establishing a good rapport with Sanchez; if Wright has shown flashes at wide receiver, he's in- he's too valuable to Westhoff. My guess is that the David Clowney Experiment is over (hence the signing of a similar unproven player in Aundrae Allison). I think Clowney and Marcus Henry are gone at roster cuts.

ADDED: I think it's funny that David Clowney tweeted himself out of a fan following.

I don't know why everybody is so down on Clowney. I understand the twitter nonsense, but from what I've read he has made some nice catches in camp
