Disagreed. I can recall tons of Sox fans (not on TGG) labelling the NYY the cheating franchise for consisting of ARod, Giambi, Sheffield, Clemens, etc.... It's those fans who are eating humble pie today.

I've said many times I don't care about steroids, and don't think it taints anything.

Exactly. If anything, it is a great lesson in humility for those who live in glass houses like many fans in Boston.

If you're gonna bash the Yankees for cheating then don't deny that your own players are as well. Bottom line.

Other than that I could care less and hope this steroid crap is completely behind us by the 2010 season.

And those guys are certainly tremendous schmucks too. I can see your point of view, the wipe-the-smirk-off-their-faces perspective. But yeah, the ones throwing the word "tainted" around again are dipshits.

To enjoy the egg on the face of Red Sox fans is one thing, to say their titles are tainted (as you just did) is another.

The list is locked down by court order. I doubt it will ever become available. For that to happen everybody would have to agree to it. MLB, the union and the players themselves. The names will continue to be leaked though. One or two at a time.

And I still think they're tainted so tough shit! Like you said, accept it and move on.

Note to self: JetsNation06's opinion is completely worthless due to his enduring idiocy.

    OK, I've moved on.

    No offense taken.

The bigger question is this. Is anybody from the last 20 years and probably the next 20 too ever going to be elected to the hall of fame? I am of the belief, as are many others, that everybody just has to get over it and not hold this against anybody. I love the people with the holier than thou attitudes, especially the hall of famers who say they would walk of the stage if anybody who was caught were ever elected. They would have done the same thing if they could have and all their spite is just that. They begrudge the money today's players make.

    Yeah that's what it is.

As for the "tainted" crap, I agree with you, and it was hilarious when that was being thrown at the Yankees over Pettitte and Clemens. It's just as ridiculous now.

I won't pretend to really understand the court proceedings, but from what I gathered from the updated ESPN report, the case has reached a higher court that has overturned the previous ruling, and now this case will be heard in court. I'd say there's a good chance this report becomes public.

Yeah, the holier-than-thou garbage is getting on my nerves too. These guys popped amphetamenes like candy, guys were scuffing balls, loading bats, etc. Cheating has been going on since the dawn of the game. These guys just "built a better mousetrap."

If baseball had a commissioner like Goodell, Ortiz would not see the field again this year for cheating, and then lying about it to the press when Arod's name surfaced.

Yeah, right. Nobody gives a shit about steroids in the NFL. You get caught, you serve your few games, and everyone gets over it.

Actually, if David Ortiz was the commisioner of baseball, he'd suspend himself for an entire year as per his own train of thought earlier this season.
