The way he approaches the job Sanchez reminds me a lot of Peyton Manning... let's just hope at the end of the day he throws the ball nearly as well...
at least from all accounts sanchez is busting his balls to make it work... so that's a little helpful.
he is making all the moves and he has the talent. lets just see if we are making to right move or if were throwing him to the wolves to early.
I think the only mistake you can make with a guy like Sanchez is throwing him to the wolwves too early! Let's hope Rex doesn't do it...
Cortland is nowhere near the highest point in the state. Lake Placid is 1801 ft above sea level (just as an example of at least one city) and the highest point is Mount Marcy, over 5000 feet.
"The City of Cortland, settled in 1791, was incorporated in 1900 as the 41st city in the State of New York. Known as the "Crown City" because of its location on a plain formed by the convergence of seven valleys, Cortland is situated about 1,130 feet above sea level, making it the uppermost city to crown the state." http://www.cortland.org/community/history/history10.htm
This is my favorite quote from this article. I loved the 06 offense. I loved the shifts and the personnel packages. This is what made Schotty seem like an actual HC candidate and what made that 2006 season fun to watch. Hopefully Clemens or Sanchez can run it. Schotty had the benefit of a Rhodes scholar in 2006 in charge of what looked like a fairly complicated offense. Edit: Never mind. This is my favorite quote:
Well, at the very least, he will not be taking things out because our QB had 3 weeks to learn the offense. Be it Clemens or Sanchez, they will be running the offense Shotty wants, with a run heavy bias. I'm looking forward to it.
1. I'm sick of hearing this nonsense. Just like Rex said...best man for the job regardless of contract status. I really do hope the HC has that kind of pull to make the right decision 2. A Leon holdout would suck and seems very likely considering the fact that he isn't being properly compensated for his services. Git 'er done Tanny. 3. While most HS's were having "double sessions", we were having "triple sessions". All that meant was that we got an extra break during the day. I wouldn't read into quantity. I really hope he pushes them like Mangini did though in terms of conditioning...the lack of injuries last year were no coincidence. 4. As nice as it would be to have PB shagging bombs, he's going to jail, and rightfully so. 5. I like this. Throw the bitch in there and see what happens. Could be a disaster though...
I hate to tell you but if you are expecting Mark Sanchez to be Peyton Manning you are going to be seriously let down. I think the Jets drafted the next Rex Grossman.
I'll take Pennington as is. He still has a lot of good football left. The Jets are going to struggle this season with their QB situation. Sanchez and Clemens are going to have a hard time. It is going to be a long year for you guys.
The Dolphins just weren't quite there yet and the Ravens have a damn good football team. I'd take getting to the playoffs anytime over going home losers after the regular season.
