Jets' Backup Safety Ihedigbo Working Hard ...just found this video on the shows ridiculously hard safety James Inhedigbo is working in order to be a much improved player when training camp comes around. I didn't know much about this guy other than he is a small school prospect that showed enough in camp to earn a roster spot as a UDFA. After seeing his drive and determination, I think he has a chance to start down the road. If not, he'll definitely be a hell of a special teamer. I have a lot of respect for players that work hard to get better...especially guys that come out of nowhere.
If he keeps working out like that he could be a great bench guy to give our safeties a rest every once in a while.
anyone who has ever worked out the physical dynamics are so important to an athlete. #44 is looking to contribute in a big way this season. nice find and nice post.
I didn't catch that. I still think he's working just as a hard. He's constantly mentioning running and lifting on his twitter page. Digbo and Wallace Wright are great special teamers.
Cool vid Mr. E. My recollection of him was a hard-hitting Safety who recorded a pick last year, but another moment that sticks out in my mind is him biting on a fake and getting beaten pretty badly for a long TD pass. I'm kinda hoping Emmanuel Cook works out as well. Can never go wrong with hard-hitting safeties as long as they can also play their coverages well.
You and me both man... I'd like to see Rhodes, Leonhard, Smith, Cook, and Digbo on the 2009 roster, but even after a great mini-camp, Eric Smith could be the odd man out.
All I remember about him is he's a hard hitter and he got a bullshit holding call that negated a td return. Seems like a hardworking guy and a solid benchwarmer at the very least; I hope he does well.
Eh, I wouldn't bank on it. Unless Smith completely sucks at TC. Rex Ryan hailed him as the next Ed Reed during OTA's. I remember reading an article where they asked Ryan about the DB situation. He mentioned that some rookies have been dropping some balls but that they were concentration issues, something that could be worked on and perfected. I'm 100% he was referring to EC, since at the Combine he had a hard time hanging on to some catches as well. I'm all for keeping the best players. Just hope EC comes thru.
Cool video!! This workout is difficult. Try multiple behind the back clap-pushups....tough shit to do!!!
They do look alike....tweeze those dam eyebrows I'm Italian and my eyebrows don't look anything like those weeds.
I like his efforts... but unfortunately up to now I haven't seen that much talent from him. I really like Cook as our 4th Safety... Ihedigbo will only make the team if Westhoff puts in a good word.
Sorry to see coorslight won't be around to teach us physical dynamics. Good video, there's a guy that deserves a shot. Easy to root for him.
