As much as I want Martinez, I don't like the idea of giving up Buchholz for him. I'd rather see a Bowden+ package.

Penny isn't for sure gone. I would be happy to see him stay, as I'm sure many others would. Smoltz is only in the rotation because of the fucking stupid WBC ruining Dice-K.

I think Bowden will be a solid 4 or 5 rotation man by next season/next July.

But the best rotation in the world can't make up for 0 offense. Look at SF, for instance. 3 former Cy Young Winners, 2 competing for the CY this year and a man with a no-hitter this year. They fucking SUCK offensivly and are now 9.5 back of a team with marginal to good pitching, but an incredible offense.

With what? What in the fucking world would they offer the A's? The A's only want MLB-ready or close to it prospects. Several.

They don't want broken ass mid-30's latino's with fucking retarded contracts.

Hahahahahahaha. Funny. I actually completely agree, it makes no sense for the Mets to go after Matt Holliday when he's going to be a free agent next year and he's proven he won't succeed in a pitchers park. Granted the Oakland Coliseum is a total shithole, but Citi Field is a pitchers park. He struggled in Shea I don't see why he wouldn't struggle in Citi Field.

I'm totally for the Yankees going for him this off-season because the need for a left fielder will be there and he'd be in one of the best parks for a hitter in baseball, surrounded by a sick lineup.

I would rather the Yankees go for someone like Carl Crawford than Holliday.
Until he proves otherwise, Holliday is another Coors Field stat demon.

Seeing Carl Crawford in a Yankees jersey would make me sad.

That's not happening any time soon.

  13. Imagine an outfield of Crawford-gardner-Cabrera?

We'd be depending on A rod, Tex, and Jorge to supply a ton of power but think of the speed and defense...Scary.

Ummm, when did "I would love to see Crawford on the Yankees" become "Crawford will be a Yankee"?

That's all well and good when Yankee stadium apparently plays almost exactly like Coors Field. But now that he's in St. Louis I think you'll see the cardinals reach a multi year deal with him at seasons end.

Second. Pujols won't happen, but Mauer might if Minnesota doesn't think they'll be able to sign him. They would have to give up a lot to get him though because if he hits free agency he's a Yankee.

I'd be stunned if he ever left Minnesota. They'll spend a little more with the new ballpark, and he's local kid made good over there.
