Honestly I assumed he was talking about Oakland, but it's proabably more because I forgot the Yankees are still at home. Anyway, I think it's funny that you and I get shit for arguing about the Yankees, but people are arguing about the Mets, As, and shitty ballfields.
Yea, Yanks are still home. I dont get to see them live in Oakland until mid August. Three games in a row baby. First time I have done that ever... They better not let me down...
So did you really think when I said "this could be the ugliest and most unappealing stadium" that I was intending it for the new Yankee Stadium? Any reader with a brain knows that I wasn't referring to Yankee Stadium when I said "this". "How the hell are people supposed to know?" If you read down to my next post you see that I continue talking about Oakland. How people wouldn't know would be the more appropriate question. You see that I post on Yankee game threads all the time and am a huge fan. Why would I say that about Yankee Stadium??? Furthermore, being that the title of the thread is Yankees vs. Oakland, "this" could have only meant one of those two teams. Your logic is flawed. That only leaves Oakland left. Not hard at all to figure out who "this" was intended for. You obviously knew that I was talking about Oakland because I spelled it out in my next post. Way to just take one tidbit and completely pull it out of context though.
Eh, I wouldn't say that either. Like I said, I forgot the Yankees were still at home. Had I remembered, I'd probably have given you the internet equivalent of the stink eye too. *shrug* No biggie I think. This is turning into far more of an argument than it should.
Methinks the lady doth protest too much. It's okay, dude. If you didn't know the game was at home, it's okay to just say so. Really. And for the record, I don't think you were saying it about Yankee Stadium. I know you were saying it about Oakland. But you'll have to forgive people for thinking otherwise, considering your initial post. "Just one tidbit"? I quoted your entire initial post!
Yeah I actually did forget that the Yanks were still home when I wrote my original post. But I still would've ribbed on Oakland's stadium regardless. Oh well.
I like Boston because of the teams in the 80's playing the A's and it being a fucking fist fight every game. I like SF because I grew up in SF.
Really? On Weather.com I'm seeing no window for this game. Brace yourselves for Asian Chipmunk Kei Igawa if we have to play a DH!!!! Who's excited?
Sooooo. 1050 Reported that Joba is experiencing some complications. They are going to start "monitoring" his innings. So basically, Joba is moving back to the pen.
Yeah, they were talking about his innings limit on the radio. I'm hanging out at a friend's house in Brooklyn, and if the game is going to be played, we could go. There's just no information about what the story is. The YES network is just showing old highlights of the Yankees WS wins in the '90s. WFAN's 20/20 says they're going to try everything they can to get the game in.
they're gonna start the game at fuckin 11 if they have to, haven't the yankees had a bunch of games ppd this year?
