Yea in a household of Redskins/Dolphins/Bills fans... I guess we know who the favorite brother is right? Well she shys away from guys with iphones because of the "must be gay" factor haha
They are just ropin all you newbies in to get you all excited about having them and boom gonna hit you with the crazy sale pitches to get that PSL money! They will get a few hundred more sales but hopefully everyone isnt stupid enuff to buy into this garbage! Enjoy your new seats and lets get some new energy in there with all the fresh faces! Like Rex said he needs us to be the extra guy on D out there getting it loud!
I didn't consider that, but everything you say makes sense. But why were others upgraded for this year when they asked?
btw you didnt know the sales people motto, "fuck who you can, please who you must, but always get the sale."
i had heard alot about there being a tremendous amount of non fans who were season ticket holders from when the jets moved from queens. i think you are onto something with this analysis. and this may be a good thing. maybe some of those seats that were sold to dollfag fans wont be available this year. maybe we will have a better home crowd, maybe just maybe it might be a little more raucous this year. which would be sad, to have the most out of control crowd one year before it is a bunch of pansies in the first 2 decks. bah i was really trying to see the bright side of this but in the matter of a few sentences i came back right around to the fact the fans are getting screwed.
Hey LOGESECTION and anyone else----I am a current season ticket holder and asked to be moved ,,this happened a week ago,,,,,I was happy that I was moved but after seing what people posted I asked the Jets if seats have become available , some in the locations I requested could I please be moved there instead of where they put me last week-----today I was told exactly what you and others posted that "Seats did become available late last week, your account however has already be sent to print for the 2009 season and changes can no longer be made."
Actually, it was a combination of being cheap and angry. A few of them lost their jobs, a few said it was just getting too expensive to get over there every game and a few others said "F... those greedy bastards. I'd rather watch the game at the bar." Add in that the lot where we used to meet up (since the Jets first moved there) was closed because of the construction of the new stadium. It just wasn't fun anymore. It seemed like a chore a lot of the time. Especially late in the season when the weather turned bad and the team would take a nosedive in the standings.
Tailgating isn't that what the caveman and dinosaurs did before they were extinct? Since I am traveling from the Princeton area is it ok to wear Crocs or Penny loafers to the game? Are people polite? Are the restrooms clean and sanitary even in the parking areas? Do ushers bring you to your seat and do you tip them? Can you say "what the frig just happened" or will they revoke your seat? What are acceptable in the code of conduct? Just some newbie questions... BTW I will let you know about the parking pass.
print I called last Friday, the dude said they went to print Wednesday, or maybe Thursday but I thought he said two days earlier. How many seats did you move, and from where to where?
someone who purchased a psl less than 30 days ago should call em up and ask to be moved.... then when they say no tell them that you no longer want the psl... then we can see just how easy it is to move someone. this is now my 2nd favorite thread on the ganggreen.
Here's the email I received yesterday, like I said I only joined the waitlist last year when it became free The New York Jets would like to thank you for your recent payment of your Season Ticket Account. Your tickets will be mailed to you via regular US Postal Mail in late July. Thank you for your continued support of the New York Jets. We look forward to seeing you at the games, Go Jets! So I guess now the WL is only valid for contacting you about next year's seats. I will let you know when I get the call.
I think someone asked this, just wondering where you moved from? Was it uppers to lowers? Or just over a few sections??? I'm not shocked that the Jets are not helping out long time season ticket holders in their last season at the Meadowlands, but it CANNOT be that difficult to move fukking seats. I thought this team annoyed the fuk out of me when they go for a field goal on 4th and 1 from the 1yd line...they are really ANNOYING me now with this whole PSL/Waitlist garbage...
just speaking for myself......becasue season tixx to me are a long term thing.....If i know I aint gettin them in 2010, might as well save myself the 8 hundo or so this year....call me crazy but regardless of PSL. I refuse to pay over 100 per ticket for uppers for the Jets (75 in Giants stadium is pushing the limits of acceptance), so 2010 was a no brainer. And really, I had to be honest with myself too...all of the years of going to Jet games, the best part was always the 3 hours before the game. I can re create that at home if need be, and still will go to a few games via stub hub.... all in all though, it's cool that there will be new blood in the seats, so i hope the newbies enjoy it
I don't mean to be a dick, and I'm not calling out your fan-hood, but haven't you been trying to sell your season tickets in whole or in half-season packages on here for like...the last 2 years? I'm sure you had personal reasons, I just don't know how much of a commitment that is if you really planned to go to all the games anyway. But given that, it's totally understandable with the new stadium coming next season, pricing, and the tailgating atmosphere u can create at home. It makes sense to just stay at home. I really do hope the new blood (including myself) next season and in the new stadium, up there in the uppers, rocks the house. It's been too laid back and we need to make that stadium at least feel like it's our home. Even tho it's not.
