Wow, from my earliest Jet memories. Don't remember if he was any good but I do remember him playing. I might have even had that card, I remember that year of football cards.

This is a real rarity--the 1978 pre-season. The Jets were holding back debuting the new uniforms for the regular season but already had the new helmets so the players could get used to them. First of the 16-game regular season with a 4-game pre-season, so only 4 games ever with that combination. Ward's rookie camp.
