Well, I think 17a is at the game. I think dave might be too, and I wouldn't be surprised if Shade is too. I don't know, but I think 3rd is fed up with the team. Not sure about jeff or exit, but they post enough to not just be avoiding this.

The only one I can't explain away would be Joe. But I think his keyboard locks up whenever the Yankees are winning a game and he's unable to post.

Eh, it's only 4.5 right now, but right now, I'd have to say the Sox are the best team in the AL, if not all of baseball. There's a lot of baseball left, but the Yankees are going to have trouble catching them unless the Sox go on a big losing streak.

The best the Yankees can hope for right now is to keep pace and be ready to play when they face the Sox in August.

    Tomko is a dumbass.

Bunting isn't that hard. You should at least get the bat to touch the ball.

This football field is ridiculous to play on. What a joke of a stadium.

Huh... that sounds very similar to what people were saying on May 12th, when the Yanks were 6.5 back. Two weeks later, they were up 1.5 games. Shit changes quickly. I'm not saying the same pattern is going to play itself out again, but 4.5 games is not even close to being an insurmountable lead.

twisting it to the positive side....the only difference between the two teams in the standings right now is the unlikely blown save by Rivera in Boston the first trip to Fenway and the blown 3-1 lead the last time in Fenway(third game). If the Yankees had won those two games they would be tied with the Red Sox.

Which is exactly why I freaked out about losing every game to them. Those are the losses that make you play catch up for a month.

Yeah, you can be as pissed as you want... I doubt any Yankee fan has enjoyed much of this year's series.... but it doesn't change the fact that it's not really even close to an insurmountable lead.

Let's not forget our splits against the Sox in April, May, June vs July, August, Sept. I can't wait to see those faggots again.

the mets are hard enough to watch this year without the added pleasure of listening to yankee fans gloat about being able to beat a AAA team.

Just back from Citi Field. Great win for CC and the Yanks. Brett G. was on fire. They didn't miss Jeter tonight. And, yeah, they showed Kate Hudson on the screens in the stadium when A-Rod hit his HR. Mets looked drunk in the second inning.

ARod is the man in this wicked land. I hope this is just the fuckin' start. CC continues to command the game, he hasn't looked back after the slow start. Gotta keep it going to catch the Shit Sox though, and the Jays keep winning too. Time will tell.

I still love Sheffield, so if any Mutt was to get on the board tonight happy it's him.

Basically, after the 3 errors in the inning there was no way this team is capable of getting those runs back
